Sometimes, the Prophets of the Hebrew Scriptures seem so other worldly and live lives most of us would find unattainable. Yet this week's readings reveal that not only did Elisha enter into his ministry with an incredibly humble heart; but also, ot seems, carrying doubts that he would ever be able to truly carry the mantle of his mentor, Elijah. Perhaps we should not be afraid of the doubt that sometimes haunts us; and seek to hold to the same humble position Elisha did...
