Representative Julie Sandstede (DFL) from Hibbing won her bid for reelection to her 2nd term in the MN House of Representatives. We caught up with her this morning to find out what she's thinking and planning for in the 2019 MN Legislative Session.

Alison Aune is an art professor at the University of Minnesota in Duluth. She's also a painter who creates large scale, textile inspired pieces that weave narratives of scandinavian heritage and folklore throughout the work. She will be speaking at the MacRostie Art Center at 6pm tonight (Wednesday, December 19th). Her work will be on display at the MacRostie until December 28th. Cherilyn Spears, Henry Donnell, and Kade Ferris are working together on a project that will reintroduce bison (or mashkode bizhiki in Ojibwemowin) to the Red Lake Nation in northern Minnesota. Cherilyn is Project Coordinator for Red Lake Nation Economic Development and Planning , Kade is Red Lake Tribal Archaeologist, and Henry will be the farm manager. The project is based on a survey of the people of Red Lake and will carry out their wishes for better sources of wholesome, pre-colonization
