Melissa Mitri is a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist, weight loss specialist, and expert health writer with over 18 years of experience in the health and wellness industry. She is a private practice dietitian helping women achieve sustainable weight loss, is a freelance writer for dietitians and wellness brands, and serves as a mentor to aspiring RD freelance writers.
Melissa helps translate complicated scientific research
into easy-to-understand terms for the consumer. She has written for various publications and websites, such as Everyday Health, HealthCanal, Nature Made,
and Garden of Life, and is regularly featured in large media outlets such as Forbes, Health, Eating Well, VeryWell Health, and more.
Throughout her dietetics career, Melissa has been employed
in various roles including inpatient and outpatient clinical, long-term care, foodservice and clinical management, corporate wellness, and more. She has also volunteered for the Connecticut Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and has
served as Membership Chair, Public Policy Chair, and Past President.
Melissa believes everyone has the power to improve their
health, one small habit at a time.
