You may know Alan from his YouTube videos, or just his wicked beard! I found out about Alan and Untamed Strength when trying to learn more about how to properly perform the squat, bench, and deadlift in my efforts to get stronger. I had a lot of fun talking with Alan, we discussed his time in the Marines, his gym in Sacramento, as well as how he grew a large following on YouTube. The part I appreciated the most was that inadvertently Alan shared some great life lessons about discipline and perseverance, he's truly someone who is a doer and learns first and foremost from experience!

We all know what it's like to strive for hollow accomplishment that is cosmetic and not a true representation of what and who we are. When we struggle and even when we fail, we see the true opportunities and make the biggest strides in self improvement and self actualization. Strive to learn, not just to get the A.
My friend, Johnny, co-hosts The Art of Charm Podcast and Bootcamp. The most recent AoC topic was dating and the guys talked about a lot of interesting ideas around the topic. In listening, I framed the conversations in terms of what it looks like to date in a new environment (new city/post college life for me) and so I wanted to talk with Johnny about this. Along the way we discuss limerence or falling in love with the idea of falling in love, as well as nervousness, overthinking, and the pros and cons of dating in the digital age with apps like Tinder and Bumble. And of course we got off on some conversation about self-improvement as a couple like-minded self improvement junkies tend to do. :) Here's the link to the start of the AoC Podcasts on dating https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-art-of-charm/id212382281?i=1000437311098 and a link to the Art of Charm website where you can find out more about their classes centered around improving your soft skills and becoming more confident! https://theartofcharm.com
Here I share my thoughts on how being impoverished has gone from meaning having too little to these days often meaning having too much and how that plays out in three examples.
My good friend Chris Hudek recently decided to pursue a career in teaching rather than enter into the accounting field after college. He spent time teaching English as a foreign language in Thailand and talks about the differences between Eastern and Western culture as well as challenging the status quo and following your passion in spite of other's opinions. Really enjoyed this conversation with a great friend!

Recently, I was down on myself for not fulfilling my habits to the extend I'd like to, but I began thinking about all the habits I have already that are autonomous and realized that if I can persevere, I can make more habits autonomous! Here I talk about what it takes, why, and what habits I have/am currently working on.
