Today I had the privilege of talking to Poppylillac (Poppy) from The Poppy Project.  Poppy is the daughter of a 37 year now retired Queensland Police Officer growing up in a small town about 60km North of Townsville.  

Poppy discusses the journey of being a First Responders family, and in particular the effects of the job and PTSD on the whole family.

In 2023 in grade 12, Poppy started "The Poppy Project", a support group that is for children and families of First Responders.  With the intention of taking the program national, she needs support and funding to help get the ball rolling.
