Today on the podcast we are honored to have Gena Rho. Gena is a certified Clinical Somatic Educator. Her somatic training is in the tradition of Thomas Hanna’s neuroscience-based somatic movement education. She trained with Martha Peterson of Essential Somatics. Gena is a lead teacher for Essential Somatics Movement Teacher training in the Northeast United States. Her private Clinical Somatic practice is in Maplewood, NJ and NYC where she works with clients of all ages to help them regain control of muscle function and improve efficiency of movement. In addition to working 1-1 with clients, Gena teaches workshops and classes, leads retreats, and runs professional development programs for educators and corporate seminars. Gena’s career as a modern dancer included performing and teaching internationally as a member of the Trisha Brown Company. She has an MFA in Dance from NYU TISCH School of the Arts. Gena has been a student of other somatic work throughout her dance career, including the Alexander technique and Body Mind Centering.

Dr. Rebecca Kennedy, is a family medicine physician in Portland, Oregon, specializing in Mind-Body/Neuroplasticity-based treatment for chronic symptoms. She works with any type of mind-body symptom and has a particular focus on long COVID. She previously led the Kaiser Permanente's long COVID clinic. After successfully restoring many patients to health, she left Kaiser in 2023 to establish her own clinic dedicated to this transformative approach. Dr. Kennedy also serves as a board member of the Association for the Treatment of Neuroplastic Symptoms.

Emily Dufrane is a licensed therapist specializing in the treatment of complex trauma from a mind-body-spirit-community approach. Emily embraces an eclectic and humanistic framework to psychological healing through the combination of emotionally focused therapy, brainspotting, parts work, and the use of plant medicine. Emily counsels from a pro-love, pro-liberation, and pro-Self perspective. She believes in dismantling systemic oppressions through interdependence, non-violence, and the embodiment of authenticity. As a person, Emily describes herself as a run of mill pansexual, witchy weirdo, who is absolutely in love with humanity, animals and trees, as well as her native hometown of Baltimore Maryland. Emily uses traditional and alternative approaches to address her own trauma, struggles with confidence, boundaries, and embodiment, as well as issues relating to chronic pain, inflammation, and endometriosis. Emily is a woman, daughter, sister, fiancé, singer, and spiritual investigator. Emily is a Pisces Sun, Capricorn Moon, and Libra Rising - she’s deep, an old soul, and incredibly emotional.

Janet Livingstone is a world traveler with a career in leadership training, curriculum development and facilitation. Realizing that "leaders" and everyone else function from the inside out and can benefit from emotional support, she began studying psychedelics and internal family systems. Koa is a French Canadian from Montreal on a journey of self-discovery and healing. After years of full-time travel and adventure, he hit a low point upon returning from Australia. A transformative trip to El Salvador led him to dive into therapy, yoga, and breathwork, eventually training in fascia therapy under Philip Gough.
Certified as both a Fascia Therapist and Breathwork Facilitator, Koa's healing journey deepened over the past three years in Nicaragua, where he explored energy work through reiki and furthered his knowledge of fascia and breathwork.
Today, he's passionate about helping others release emotional blocks and reconnect with their inner joy and alignment.
