Dana Razzano is a GI, liver, and cytopathologist at Stanford and also a faculty fellow at the Stanford Center for Innovation in Global Health. She has dedicated her work in pathology to improving access to laboratory medicine services in low and middle income countries. Dr. Lewis Hassell is a pathologist and Director of Anatomic Pathology at The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. He joins Beyond the Scope to introduce the Open Pathology Education Network (OPEN) and discuss the challenges currently facing the global pathology workforce. OPEN is a platform that aims to provide remote and digital education to pathologists in underserved areas of the world; they recently launched the first pilot programs in Vietnam.
