Season One, Episode Three

“Who’s your Bias?”

Welcome back to BFFs and Boybands, where we talk about “Friendship, Fandom, and the Boybands we love”! Carrie loves One Direction and Muse loves BTS and we talk about the things our fandoms share, how they’re different, and why we’re so invested.

On this episode: We talk about our “bias” – our favourite group members. Where does the term ‘bias’ even come from? And what makes your bias, YOUR Bias? Boys of the week: we cover our biases, of course! Louis Tomlinson and Min Yoongi

00:08 We start laughing because Carrie flubbed the intro the first time

02:24 Turning to the topic of biases... Let’s talk about Carrie’s bias Louis (and Harry?)

03:40 Backing up a bit... What’s a bias? And where does that term come from?

05:20 So what’s a “Bias Wrecker”?

05:51 Kinship between people who share a bias... do we get along?

07:43 What makes you relate to a member as a “bias”? How do we relate to our biases?

09:45 We talk about honesty in lyrics and music

10:47 Solo and Group albums and how they’re different

13:04 Can you have more than one bias? (Yes)

15:47 Muse talks about “Bias Lines”

17:10 Our first Boy of the Week! Carrie’s bias: Louis Tomlinson
