Muslim woman says Biden needs to prioritize religious freedom internationally

https://thehill.com/opinion/international/535978-president-biden-must-prioritize-international-religious-freedom

"Ending discriminatory regulations in the U.S. serves as the “power of our example,” Biden spoke of in his inaugural address. But the U.S. also has much to contribute to protecting religious minorities of all faith traditions across the world.

This would involve robust defense of Christians currently oppressed in the Middle East, India, China, North Korea and parts of Africa, along with oppressed Muslim Uighurs"–The Hill

WSJ REVIEW: Fire in the Straw: Notes on Inventing a Life by Nick Lyons

NY POST LOVES NICK LYONS NEW BOOK!

"I love Nick Lyons's books. Every sentence is so full and ripe." —Ted Hughes, former Poet Laureate to Queen Elizabeth II

FIRE IN THE STRAW is the witty and deeply felt memoir of Nick Lyons, a man with an intrepid desire to reinvent himself—which he does, over and over.

Nick Lyons shape shifts from reluctant student and graduate of the Wharton School, to English Professor, to husband of a fiercely committed painter, to ghost writer, to famous fly fisherman and award-winning author, to father and then grandfather, to Executive Editor at a large book publishing company, and finally to founder and publisher of his own successful independent press..

Written with the same warm and earthy voice that has enthralled tens of thousands of fly-fishing readers, Nick weaves the disparate chapters of his life: from the moment his widowed mother drops him off at a grim boarding school at the age of five, where he spends three lonely and confusing years; to his love of basketball and pride playing for Penn; to the tumultuous period, in the army and after, when he found and was transformed by literature; to his marriage to Mari, his great love and anchor of his life.

Suddenly, with a PhD in hand and four children, Nick embarks on a complex and thrilling ride, juggling family, fishing, teaching, writing, and publishing, the wolf always at his door. Against all odds, The Lyons Press survives, his children prosper, his wife’s art flourishes, and his books and articles make him a household name.

Fire in the Straw is a love story, a confessional, and a beautiful big-hearted memoir.

2020 and the start of 2021 have been stressful for most at the very least. We’re dealing with unprecedented times, and for many, unprecedented levels of stress. As Valentine’s Day quickly approaches, it’s more important than ever to recognize your partner for everything he/she does and give thanks. What better way to tell your partner you love and appreciate them than by giving them the gift of feeling better - something we’re all seeking especially after 2020!

If you’re working on any round-up stories covering top gifts for Valentine’s Day, I’d love to share more about the first-of-its-kind on the market, anti-bitter, water-soluble CBD products by CBD American Shaman (think no more earthy, bitter taste, and instead enjoy smooth consumption!) for potential coverage and inclusion.

I’d be happy to provide sample(s) and/or connect you with the Founder and President, Vince Sanders, for more information on what sets their anti-bitter, water-soluble CBD products apart from others on the market! Vince can touch on:

How the special ingredient forms a weak bond with the bitter compound(s) making it too large for the bitter receptors located on your tongue

How it stimulates the tongue’s sweetness receptors, masking negative tastes that are often synonymous with nutraceuticals, CBD, functional beverages, and pharmaceuticals.

How the bond dissolves in the digestive system with no effect on the bioavailability of the CBD

General CBD background

"Find me auto help"

Financial independence is incredibly difficult to reach without controlling the cost of housing. As rents have risen relative to income, families and individuals increasingly have trouble making ends meet. The result is less stable families and ultimately less stable communities as we are seeing with the current concerns with eviction and economic turmoil. And while everyone looks to government policies for help, no one is focusing on what ordinary people can do to control what they pay for rent.

During our conversation, your guests can learn to TAKE CONTROL of Lease & Renewal Conversations, Use Effective RENT REDUCTION Strategies, and Get BETTER VALUE For Their Rental Dollar.

SPECIAL GUEST: Dr. Cyril Wecht M.D., J.D. author of The Life and Deaths of Cyril Wecht: Memoirs of America's Most Controversial Forensic Pathologist.

For six decades, Pittsburgh-based forensic scientist Cyril Wecht has been an outspoken authority when horrible things happen to everyday people--murders, childhood deaths, tragic accidents and police brutality. His expertise and testimony have been called upon in high-profile cases, including the deaths of John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Jr., Elvis Presley, JonBenet Ramsey, Laci Peterson and others.

As a criminal defendant, in 1979, he was acquitted on charges of personally profiting from his office as Allegheny County Coroner; a federal public corruption charge was dismissed in 2008. Both cases, his attorneys argued, were politically motivated. Wecht's memoir describes his work on famous cases, his life in the public eye and his legal battles with determined and powerful authorities, from his hometown DA to a U.S. Attorney and the FBI.
