Today on Stand Up Mary takes a look at this week – this historical inaugural week – and the full stop of the engines of the progressive agenda that started even before the Clinton Mafia took over politics. Pundits are referring to Trump as one of the most significant movers and shakers of the century, even in all of American history. With such a glowing endorsement, we have to sit up and take notice of this amazing stretch of time. The younger Americans have no idea what is missing in our current cultural scene; only the olders can even begin to describe what we once experienced and now cherish. Well, at least on paper, some of that American spirit is back, and Trump has done the unimaginable. We look at some of the headlines and executive orders that have brought us to a new path. Then we switch gears and look at what that means for the prophetic landscape. We finish up by talking about the fear of the Lord, His holiness, and the eternal value of pressing on in Jesus regardless of the Great Ship of American Destiny. A new golden age? We shall see.

It’s headline time again, another attempt to make sense of a lot of nonsense, at least from a worldly perspective. But eternally speaking, there is more sense to it all than you might think. Today we talk about the spiritual aspect of the wildfire disaster and what some Christians think is a helpful spin but it is not. Speaking for God on any given thing is above our pay grade but that doesn’t stop people from doing it anyway. We also talk about Greenland, and how this appears to be nonsense as well, but it isn’t. Still paying attention to events, or have you bailed out of sheer exhaustion? Understandable, but there is a price to paying attention and being able to tell others what is going on, and why it matters. There is a price tag on everything the Bible calls important so we will talk invoices and costs, counting and cutting our losses. Finally, those blood moons are back in 2025. Who will get sucked into that scheme, I wonder? I hope we learned a lesson in 2015. We shall see. All that and more in a packed hour on Stand Up for the Truth.

It’s all about an audience, as so much of evangelicalism is today.  And because reducing the faith to silly symbolism, promises of secret knowledge or experiences, or even date-setting appeals to the marginal and those who feel marginalized or in need of attention in their corner of the faith. We will take a look at 40 years of fads, what it tells us about our expectations of Christianity, and how to get off the merry-go-round of Christian nonsense and get real about faith at any cost.  There have been more fads in the church in the last several decades than you might think.

Mary Danielsen welcomes back Britt Gillette and his wealth of knowledge about all things economic. Today’s system that seems to be held together with duct tape reminds me of the children’s nursery rhyme that says, “when the bough breaks…” – and then spells out the end quite clearly. Considering that the economy now global impacts us all on earth, what might 2025 bring? The last couple years have seen threats of bank closures and the cancelling of accounts of those the globalists don’t like, namely, conservatives and Christians. Alarming enough, but there is so much more going on, in particular the over-valuation of the stock market. We will rely on Britt to help us sort that out, along with the real estate market, Asian economics and their stock markets, and how AI will affect the economy in the next several years. According to the IMF, AI is a game changer for labor in particular, but also how considerable funds will be poured into the global markets from everything tech. A complex subject made easier by Britt Gillette, because while most of us rely on our pocketbook to tell us things have gone haywire, we can also rely on people with his expertise to help us dig deeper. While the biggest headline from a humanitarian and prophetic perspective was the Middle East, today we look at something driving almost everything behind the scenes: technology.  The conflict between consumers of tech and the Geek Planet that drags us there maintains a constant tension; we have willingly given up any notion of privacy for the convenience of our gadgets and we pay for it willingly as well. So what do we expect? Well, we can expect 2025 to go further and further down the rabbit hole with things that are both amazing and existentially frightening. We look at some epic fails of 2024 and some of the current headlines. How far will it go before it outpaces Revelation 13? An interesting question for prophecy students.

For those who may not know much about the Bible but grew up on “A Charlie Brown Christmas”,  the first half of Luke 2 with it’s Caesars, angels, shepherds, parents and baby is at least a little familiar. But what about the 2nd half of that chapter? There is a wonderful lesson tucked in there that last days watchers will appreciate. We also look at the biggest story of 2024, Israel, by the numbers. God is blessing the world through Israel but does anyone take notice? The consolation of Israel is something the prophets longed for; how much more should the church be looking forward to that, via the many unfulfilled prophecies regarding the future tribulation, 2nd coming, and millennium. We also take a look at technology and the big picture on the exponential increase over the last 100 years. Sending 2024 off today, and looking forward to what God has for us in 2025.

The most important thing someone can do is acknowledge they have an eternal future and prepare for it. Yet so few do. We talk about the importance of prophecy to God, how He has made a way for us to spend eternity with Him, and no amount of existentialism or atheistic soul comfort can change that. We also look at transhumanism and its end game, giving death the slip in favor of living forever contained in the confines of AI, unregenerated and lost forever. Not the kind of utopia anyone should want, but that’s deception on a grand scale. But the Bible is trustworthy about all the things that matter most to everyone who ever lived. We take a look at some really pivotal passages in the early ministry of Jesus, and a short list of the mountain peaks of prophecy.

While the Gentile nations did a lot of voting and maneuvering, it remains to be seen the significance of over 50 elections in Spring of this year. Of course, the big news for the US was mandated election of Donald Trump. We all thought this year had the potential to be filled with surprises, none were more so than November 5. We will also cover various headlines of interest to the church. What will 2025 bring? Time marches on. Jesus is coming, regardless of the headlines or American electoral colleges. And since 2024 isn’t over quite yet, who knows what is to come?
