Meditation is a very broad word. Biblically speaking, it’s a time of focused, intentional thought. Using your imagination to better see reality. Meditation embraces the importance of talking to yourself rather than just always listening to your brain’s chatter.

Psalm 42:5–6 NIV

5 Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God. 6 My soul is downcast within me; therefore I will remember you.
