Big at the Back: A Fantasy Football Podcast (FPL)

Tom and Matt are back with a special episode as we head in to the International Break. We analyse the England squad that will face Switzerland and Ivory Coast in friendlies over the next two weeks.   

We then pick our Big at the Back England XI based on a fully fit pool of players to choose from.  

Finally, we look at what an England XI and squad would look like if it were based purely on FPL points!

The boys are back after the first round of fixtures to discuss DGW29 so far. A weekend that included a Cristiano Ronaldo hat trick, two more goals for Ivan Toney, and the big defenders all keeping clean sheets, even as Man City dropped points away at Palace.  

We then turn our attention to the upcoming BGW30, as only eight teams play. Tom and Matt both run through their Free Hit squads, with Matt actually playing his FH this week, and Tom opting to navigate the blank without it.

Tom and Matt are back to discuss a bumper DGW which included hauls for Reece James, Philippe Coutinho and Matty Cash, Man United rolling over against their City neighbours, an Ivan Toney hat-trick, and Everton's troubles on the road continuing as they were hammered 5-0 by a rampant Spurs side. Thomas Tuchel does his best impression of Pep Guardiola, Watford forget how to defend again, and Leeds look no better under Jesse Masrch. We also have an update on the Jimenez v Broja bet, as things aren't looking too good for Tom!  

The Double Gameweeks come thick and fast as we then turn our attention to DGW 29, with tempting doubles for Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs! We discuss our teams and chip strategies for the next couple of weeks.

Tom and Matt are back with Episode 5 of the Big At The Back Podcast after another wasted DGW, with Burnley blanking twice! We also look at the other fixtures from the week, including Kane's haul against Leeds which saw Marcelo Bielsa get sacked, Jamie Vardy's return to the Leicester side with a double digit haul, and Man U blanking against a Watford side that previously conceded four against Crystal Palace. Football is weird...  

We then look ahead to DGW 28 as Aston Villa, Chelsea, Leeds, Newcastle, Norwich, Southampton, Watford and Wolves all have two games to look forward to.

Tom and Matt are back after the end of DGW26, as Liverpool demolished Leeds 6-0, with big points for Salah, Mané and Robertson. We also discuss the rest of the midweek fixtures including Spurs' 1-0 loss a resurgent Burnley side.  

Next up, we each go through our Free Hit teams for GW27, with some interesting differences, but both with triple Burnley players!   

Finally, we discuss our chip strategy for the remainder of the season, as Matt has both Free Hits, Wildcard, and Bench Boost left in his back pocket.

Tom and Matt are here with an update after the first round of DGW26 fixtures. Harry Kane is back firing, Romelu Lukaku can't get a touch of the ball, and Jimenez outscores Broja in the first game of our 6 week bet!   

We look back at the entire weekend of Premier League action, including Liverpool's 3-1 win over Norwich without TAA or Robertson (thank God Salah scored), Chelsea scraping a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace as their defenders racked up the bonus points, and Burnley shocking everyone by scoring THREE goals against Brighton thanks in part to a Wout Weghorst masterclass.  

We'll be back later this week to discuss the remaining four fixtures of this Double Gameweek, and also to look ahead to the next couple of weeks, including what we're planning to do with our chips!

Tom and Matt are back to reflect on Gameweeks 24 and 25. The strikers continue to blank, more hauls for Bowen, Jota and Coutinho, and Big at the Back is back in fashion?  

We then turn our attention to the big DGW 26, as Liverpool will face Norwich and Leeds at home. Would you be crazy not to TC Salah? We also have a debate about Jimenez v Broja and who will prove to be more successful in the coming weeks.
