What a BIG (Bi+ Questions) year it’s been! To celebrate the end of our first season, the entire Big Bi+ Questions crew got together to reminisce and look-back on the chats we had including the first appearance of the pun bell, the casts of movies and TV shows that we fell in love with, and what we should do with our bi+ stereotype research survey in our next season.

To celebrate Aus Music Month (November), we sought out bi+ Aussie artists and were not disappointed with the great tracks we found.
Go support local Australian artists, especially the bi+ ones – buy their music, add their tracks to your playlists, go see them live, buy their merch, and share with your friends and on your socials!
Here are links to the artists we played:

Sexual health is important to know about, even if you’re not sexually active! On this episode, we were joined by previous guests and JOY presenters, CJ and Jon, to chat about how we might get an STI, how to get tested, and how to chat to our partners about being sexually healthy.
You can catch more chats about sexual health on Hide & Seek, live on JOY, Tuesdays at 9pm AEST, or check out their podcast at joy.org.au/hideandseek or where ever you get your podcasts!

Are bi+ people really just doing it for attention? On this episode, our guest was L.A. based singer-songwriter Lucy & La Mer, whose music radiates self-love and joy while celebrating multi-gender attracted identity.
Lucy let us know about her bi+ identity and activism, as well as her passion for creating music that makes people feel good. Together, we unpacked the harmful stereotype that bi+ people are just doing it for attention, exploring how it shows up differently across genders, how it impacts dating and relationships, and how we can avoid others placing this stereotype on us.
Find out more about Lucy & La Mer and her music at listentolucy.com, on Instagram @lucyandlamer, and more at linktr.ee/lucyandlamer.

In recognition of Intersex Awareness Day on 26th October, the Big Bi+ Questions team had a big chat about how bisexuality intersects with the intersex community.
We were so grateful to be joined by two wonderful guests: Training and Communications Co-Ordinator for Inter-Action, Margie McCumstie; and professional Intersex agitator and co host of JOY’s weekly Intersex show, The I In Us, Cody Smith.
We got to know Margie and Cody a little better and discussed how they’ve navigated their identities and the intersections they exist in.
Get to know more about the Intersex community at interaction.org.au and affirm the Darlington Statement at darlington.org.au.
You can catch Cody and co-host Paul on The I In Us, live on Thursdays at 6pm AEST, or catch their podcast at joy.org.au/theiinus.

This week on Big Bi+ Questions, we’re asking: Can you be a Gold Star Bi?
We’re joined by Stephanie Dogfoot — poet, comedian, and cabaret performer bringing their hit Melbourne Fringe show Gold Star Bisexual to life. Together, we unpack where the idea of “gold stars” in queer culture comes from, what it says about validation and purity, and why bisexuality has always been a little too gloriously complicated to fit inside neat labels.
Steph shares their story of growing up in Singapore, discovering bi+ identity, and turning that journey into comedy that’s as heartfelt as it is hilarious. We also talk about the bi+ experience across cultures, visibility, and how performance can turn personal identity into community connection. And she share her poem Dear 12 year old self!
Hosts: Jase, Tamzyn, Raena, Mia, and Stevie
Guest: @stephdogfoot — performing Gold Star Bisexual at Melbourne Fringe

This week on Big Bi+ Questions, we go on safari — rainbow safari, that is!
Join Tamzyn and Raena as they channel their inner David Attenborough to ask: Can you really spot a Bi in the wild?
Armed with our Bi+ stereotype quiz, we track down the elusive signs — cuffed jeans, puns, finger guns, and an alarming number of simultaneous beverages — and ask whether any of these truly mean anything at all.
Along the way, our guest helps unpack why these jokes stick, what they say about belonging, and how humour and visibility can actually help build community.
Hit play for laughter, light-hearted field research, and a dash of truth about bi+ identity,,,
LISTEN NOW.
AFTER LISTEN HERE….when this aired we also played a bit of WELL WELL WELL interview… the full one can be heard here….

Why does visibility matter so much for the bi+ community? In this special live episode, we dive deep into the importance of Bi Visibility Day with guest Steve Spencer — consultant, educator, researcher, and ambassador for QTopia Sydney and the Bobby Goldsmith Foundation, as well as co-host of Give It To Me Bi. @giveittomebi
Steve shares his journey, the role of bi+ representation, and why being seen is more than just a label. Our hosts Jase, Tamzyn and Raena open up about their own perspectives on visibility, from navigating stereotypes to celebrating joy.
Along the way, we hear from our community — including a message from Mia on the power of breaking free from limiting structures — and reflect on what visibility really means for bi+ people today.
Join the conversation and repeat after us: We exist. We are valid. We are visible.
