Mini Boss Babble are smaller, one topic cuts from our otherwise extensive weekly podcast. In this Mini Boss Babble we discuss Silicon Echo, a developer which had 200 of its games removed from Valve's Steam Store a couple of weeks back. The 200 titles which were removed had been, reportedly, the source of over 50% of the complaints that Valve had been receiving since upload. The reasons for the complaints? They were mass produced titles, asset-flips and re-skins of games the company had already released.Terry leads the topic, while Dann & Toby have the same opinions but in red and blue palette swaps. If you're interested in hearing the full podcast, complete with bonus content, then you have many choices, including:- Checking out our Big Boss Babble archive on Bigbossbattle.com- Heading over to the Big Boss Babble Podiant feed.Or you can check out our Mini Boss Babble Podiant feed. Can’t find us on your ideal podcast feed? • Mini Boss Babble Episode 7: Part 5 - Heat Signature
Mini Boss Babble are smaller, one topic cuts from our otherwise extensive weekly podcast. In this Mini Boss Babble we discuss Heat Signature, from developer Suspicious Developments (Gunpoint).Heat Signature, which launches this week, is a game where you jet around a dynamic galaxy performing missions for factions. It's impressive on a technical level due to the fact the game moves seamlessly from galactic level to the internal, infiltration view when you board a ship. It's not just the scale which impresses, the game channels Hitman with its spontaneous action and discovery, although it's certainly a little bit more frantic than the stealth title, even considering that you can pause and plan at any point.Toby leads the topic and then rips open the airlock, sending Dann, Jorge & Terry whirling off into the coldest reaches of space. If you're interested in hearing the full podcast, complete with bonus content, then you have many choices, including:- Checking out our Big Boss Babble archive on Bigbossbattle.com- Heading over to the Big Boss Babble Podiant feed. Can’t find us on your ideal podcast feed? • Mini Boss Babble Episode 7: Part 4 - Spellbound
Mini Boss Babble are smaller, one topic cuts from our otherwise extensive weekly podcast. In this Mini Boss Babble we discuss Spellbound, the working title for the next game from Chucklefish. As it turns out the publishers of Stardew Valley are also working on a slice of life game, albeit rather than being a farming title it's instead a game about going to magic school! There's really not too much known about the game at the moment, so most of the discussion revolves around other games of its ilk, including hopes about the game's structure — that it would follow the 'lesson' structure of Canis Canem Edit (Bully).Jorge whips up a tonic and leads the topic, while Toby, Terry, and Dann wave their wands around pointlessly. If you're interested in hearing the full podcast, complete with bonus content, then you have many choices, including:- Checking out our Big Boss Babble archive on Bigbossbattle.com- Heading over to the Big Boss Babble Podiant feed. Can’t find us on your ideal podcast feed? • Mini Boss Babble Episode 6: Part 6 - Steam's 'Sexy' Problem
Mini Boss Babble are smaller, one topic cuts from our otherwise extensive weekly podcast. In this, the final part of our sixth Big Boss Babble podcast, we discuss —as Jorge puts it— Steam's 'Sexy' problem, specifically their failure to address taboo and questionable games on their storefront. The conversation starts as a result of a recently released title, Strangers in a Strange Land, which followed in the footsteps of many before by successfully launching on the platform before outrage and complaints led to Valve eventually having the game removed until censored. Can the champion of the digital market afford to not be proactive going forward?Jorge, who knows exactly who he is and where he is, leads the topic, while Toby, Dann, and the Spirit of Terry are pretty sure they know who they are, but are most definitely in a Strange Land.If you’re interested in hearing the full podcast then you can check it out here. Can’t find us on your ideal podcast feed? • Mini Boss Babble Episode 6: Part 5 - Fight of the Gods
Mini Boss Babble are smaller, one topic cuts from our otherwise extensive weekly podcast. In this, the fifth part of our sixth Big Boss Babble podcast, we discuss FIGHT OF THE GODS, a recently launched game which instantly became notorious because its roster included Jesus and Buddha. This roster lead the game to being banned in Malaysia, however as the country had no control over digital versions of the game being sold they also decided that, for extra measure, they'd also ban the Steam store. Blimey.Toby, who has not even once tried to fight a deity, leads the topic, while Dann, Jorge, and the Spirit of Terry remained silent on their religious conflicts, but happily chimed in on the discussion. If you’re interested in hearing the full podcast then you can check it out here. Can’t find us on your ideal podcast feed?
