After realising that too many young people are ending their life to suicide, former world-pro surfer Cooper Chapman was compelled to take action, establishing The Good Human Factory. Cooper realised that mental health is not just depression, anxiety and suicide but also actions aimed at cultivating skills such as mindfulness, gratitude, kindness and empathy. Through this realisation, Cooper has facilitated mental health workshops for thousands of high school students and has established his own podcast, ‘Good Humans with Cooper Chapman’ where he aims to “connect curious minds with simple mental health strategies.”
Join Big Bros, Jeremy and Ilan, as they sit down with Cooper Chapman and discuss his journey from professional surfer to mental health advocate. Expect to learn how Cooper established his identity away from elite sports, his year without any alcohol, why practicing gratitude should be a frequent practice, and much more.
We hope you enjoy!
