There's a lot to talk about this week what with a huge state semifinal game, a train derailment, and Tim fucking the neighbor (who is definitely going to jail) but we were also very distracted by the facts that Connie Britton's husband on Nashville is Chip from Whose Line and that Kyle Chandler has been in THREE kaiju movies.

This week we cover one of Friday Night Lights' most well-regarded episodes, in which Julie and Matt decide to lose their virginity at Bradley's lake house. We also talk about an episode that introduces two all-time terrible subplots.

This week we got two Very Special Episodes detailing the fallout of Mac McGill's racist remarks. Also some teens go to a strip club and Eric out-parents Tami for the first time.

The kids are dumb this week when Smash's mom finds his steroids and Jason proposes to Lyla, while Tyra realizes she's in a TV show during a tire blowout. We also imagine what Coach Taylor would do in an Eyes Wide Shut situation. Also Tami gets into politics and then never mentions it again.

Newly married Geoff returns as we talk about Nirvana, the Iraq War, erectile dysfunction, European art films, and most importantly CRUCIFICTORIOUS LIVE.

We had so much to talk about that we split Episode 3 into two parts. Part I is about FNL episode 1.5, "Git-R-Done," in which the Voodoo-Coach tension comes to a head and Tyra sleeps with an absolute scrub in the show's first of many unsavory sexual pairings.

In part II, we discuss the worst episode so far, "El Accidente," with its complicated and clumsy racial politics. More importantly this is the episode where Jason finds out it's dangerous to ejaculate.
