So many of us have been taught to give in absents of ourself. A lot of the time we don't realize we're doing it because it's something we were taught from young. This is especially true if you have younger siblings or are a female.

There isn't a thing wrong with being selfless, just make sure you maintain a balance.

Sometimes you may be the light in a very dimly lit room. There is never anything wrong with you. The problem is with them. If people make you feel like you need to dim your light never give in to their request because you were beautifully and wonderfully made by the most high and he never makes any mistakes. If he wanted you to be what they want you to be he would have made you that way. He didn't so there is nothing else to be said.
