On hour 3 of the Big Show, George and Matt are joined by Jason Bukala. Jason joins the guys for a deep dive on the return package the Flames received for Elias Lindholm. Jason gives us his thoughts on Hunter Brzustewicz and Joni Jurmo (the 2 prospects the Flames received) from a scout's perspective and what are some player comparables for these guys. Jason also gives his thoughts on Kuzmenko and how he could potentially be a project player for the Flames. Jason also tells us about what could be next for the Flames. Is a Chris Tanev trade next? Perhaps a Markstrom trade?
(22:17) To wrap the hour, the GM of the Flames Craig Conroy joins the show! Connie tells us exactly how the Lindholm trade came to be. Craig mentions that multiple teams were in on Lindholm but Vancouver's package was too good to turn down. Conroy speaks on Lindholm's down year and how he understands how a player can feel a bunch of pressure during a down year. Craig explains that this trade was difficult to make with a divisional rival but this deal was good for both teams.
To put a bow on a jammed packed show, our buddy Julian McKenzie joins the show live from Toronto for All Star weekend! J Mac tells us where he was when the Lindholm news broke and the return package. Julian gives Conroy some props for getting such a large package for Elias Lindholm considering he is probably going to be a rental. Julian also speaks on what is next for the Flames down the middle. The guys discuss some names that could fill that role like Pospisil, Sharangovich, and Zary. Julian also sets the scene from Toronto and gives us the vibe of the city for all star weekend!
