Hour 1 of the Big Show is on the air! George and Matt kick off the show breaking down the Flames OT win over the Arizona Coyotes. Last night was a very quiet game for Calgary until the 3rd period where they scored 2 quick ones to send it off to OT. The guys discuss some players who stood out for them, Blake Coleman gets his 20th of the year, Nazem Kadri was excellent in the 3rd period, Sharangovich gets the OT winner. George brings up that efforts like last night show that this Flames team can make the playoffs.

On hour 2 of the Big Show, George and Matt are joined by former NHL coach and current NHL network analyst Bruce Boudreau! Bruce joins the boys to give us his analysis on some of the Canadian NHL teams and the biggest headlines from the league. We start with the Toronto Maple Leafs as the guys get Boudreau's thoughts on the extension for William Nylander and if this Maple Leafs roster can actually win the Stanley Cup. Bruce gives his thoughts on the season for the Calgary Flames and the play of Jacob Markstrom and Jonathan Huberdeau and why their play is so important to the success of the Flames. Bruce weighs in on some other narratives including Marc Andre Fleury moving into 2nd on the all time win list, why Alex Ovechkin is having a hard time scoring

He tells us some funny stories of the Dads getting their party on and what his off day in Vegas was like. Eric shares a story about Connor Zary that he heard from his Dad. We look towards tonight's game as the guys ask Eric on Yegor Sharangovich and how he has found his fit on this Flames roster. Eric weighs in on the play of Mikael Backlund and how he has elevated the play with anyone who has played with him and how this season has shown he made the right decision to stay with this team and be their leader. Eric also gives his take on the impressive first half Blake Coleman has had and why his game has been taken to new heights.

Hour 1 of the Big Show is on the air! George and Matt kick off the show giving their reactions to the Monday slate of NFL game that wrapped up the wildcard round. Josh Allen and the Bills beat the Pittsburgh Steelers, Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers take down Jaylen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles. The guys discuss the Bills fans throwing snowballs on the field and what would've happen if they hit any of the Steelers players. Later they bring up Nick Sirianni's future in Philadelphia. Sirianni brought Philly to the Super Bowl last season but with a disappointing end to the season might cost him his job.

(26:28) To wrap the hour, Flames alumni and 1989 Cup Champion Collin Patterson joins the show! Colin was with the team for the Flames' Dads trip and he gave us some of his best stories from the trip. We got to hear stories about Rusty Coleman, hanging with Lanny McDonald, what it was like to get to know some of the players better and what he thinks of the recent streak of good play for the Flames.

On hour 2 of the Big Show, George and Matt are joined our Flames Analyst Brent Krahn! We start the interview with a little football talk as Krahn gave his reactions to the Green Bay Packers beating the Dallas Cowboys in dominant fashion. Later the guys get into the Flames' big win over the Vegas Golden Knights. Krahn gives his thoughts on how important this road trip was for the Flames as they picked up 10 out of a possible 14 points.  

(21:58) To wrap the hour, Krahn and the guys react to some audio from Elliotte Friedman as he spoke on the rumors surrounding a possible Jacob Markstrom trade. The Flames are in no hurry to move Markstrom but if the Flames get an offer that is too good to refuse, they need to pull the trigger on that deal. The guys discuss the direction of this Flames team and how their best case scenario is to move some of their UFA's and still have Markstrom drag them into the playoffs.

Hour 1 of the Big Show is on the air! George and Matt kick off the show giving their reactions to the weekend slate of NFL games for Wild card weekend. Patrick Dumas' Green Bay Packers pull off the upset over the Dallas Cowboys in dominant fashion winning it 48-32. Super impressive game from Jordan Love and Aaron Jones. George brings up a comparison between the Cowboys and the Toronto Maple Leafs, both teams have a rabid fan base and always seem to have soul crushing losses in the playoffs. The late game on Sunday saw the Detroit Lions finally getting a playoff win defeating the LA Rams, Joe Flacco's run comes to an end with the Cleveland Browns getting bounced and more from the weekend of NFL action.  

Later, the guys get into the weekend that was for the Calgary Flames as they took down the defending cup champs, Vegas Golden Knights this past Saturday at the T Mobile Arena. Flames are having a nice little run here as they have picked up 10 out of a possible 14 points during a tough time in their schedule.

On hour 2 of the Big Show, George and Matt start the hour with a conversation on Noah Hanifin. Eric Francis said yesterday on the Flames broadcast that he feels an extension is close to getting over the finish line. George and Matt discuss why signing Noah Hanifin to a long term extension feels like a no brainer for Craig Conroy. The guys discuss if the Flames want to sign any of their pending UFA's Hanifin seems like the clear front runner. Signing Elias Lindholm to a long term 9 million dollar AAV extension feels like it wouldn't age as well as a Hanifin deal. Later the guys get you ready for all the action that will be going on in the NFL for wild card weekend with the NFL best bets!

(23:47) To wrap the hour, Frank Seravalli joins the program! The guys start the conversation with Frank with more on Hanifin. Frank feels that maybe signing Hanifin isn't such a no brainer given the fact that Noah has said in the past that he doesn't necessarily see himself as a member of the Flames long term. Frank mentions that the Flames haven't been able to pull the trigger on any big deals because the trade market isn't very robust. The guys ask Frank if Colorado is a possible trade partner for the Flames and who Colorado would possibly like to give up in a trade. We get Frank's insights on some of teh other big name players that need new deals like Sam Reinhart, Steven Stamkos, and Jake Guentzel. This leads us into a conversation on how province and state taxes allow teams to manipulate their cap structure and allows teams to pitch to players they can take home more money. For example William Nylander will take home less money than Matthew Tkachuk. Lasty, we get Frank's reactions to the Cutter Gauthier, Philadelphia Flyers saga and what he thinks went wring there.
