I'm taking a look at Bigfoot sightings in Idaho this week, in Custer County, in honor of Dr. Jeff Meldrum, who sadly passed away last week. A one of the few mainstream scientists to take the Bigfoot phenomenon seriously, Dr. Meldrum brought a keen scientific eye to footprints, behaviors, and other evidence of the legendary creature's existence. He was a longtime professor of anthropology at Idaho State University, so this week I'm examining Sasquatch stories from the state he was best known for. A river rafter has rocks thrown at him by an unseen creature, a man hears something monstrous stalking around outside his tent, a camp staffer hears horrifying screams at night outside his cabin, Boy Scouts see a Bigfoot cross the trail in front of them as they hike, and a hunter sees a Sasquatch walking along a ridge.
