The sound quality is far from perfect on this, and I was going to let that keep me from sharing it, but no. Perfection is a myth. My heart is present in this offering and my heart is what I’m here to share.

I’m excited to play around with the different possibilities here on Substack. Especially excited about the audio features. I can’t promise I’ll ever give you perfect sound, but I promise I’ll continue to give you my heart.

I hadn’t intended for the above to sound like an ASMR recording, but it’s 3am so my voice was all a whisper.

My thoughts connect to a short writing I’ve shared several times over the years:

The harder I fight against my circumstances, the more I struggle to move beyond them. Wars create wars, externally and internally. I will accept my circumstances, breathe into the reality of my life, own it for what it is. Then, from this place of acceptance, from the peaceful acknowledgment that I can transform what is into something different and beautiful, I will take the necessary steps to change my life. And so it shall be.

We can’t create peace, within ourselves or our world, until we stop going to war.
