Unexpected Depth

Ms. Daniels brings us another fun âOne Night withâ story, part of the 1Night Stand series of books. This time, itâs the Best Manâs turn. If you read âOne Night with the Groomâ youâve met Alex before. He takes center stage here, and you get to know him and what makes him tick.

The character and scene descriptions were quite good and allowed me to easily visualize everything as I read. I fell into the story and didnât come up for air until I finished. I particularly enjoyed seeing the softer side of Alex and his interactions with Susan.

Then they each receive a 1Night Stand as gifts and. . . well, I wonât spoil it for you. As with most 1Night Stand books, there are explicit sex scenes, but the characters and their relationship take center stage here.

If you enjoy sexy stories with depth, I highly recommend this one.

ONE NIGHT WITH THE BEST MAN by Sara Daniel was an enjoyable return to the world of the One Night With The Bridal Party series. It is the fourth book in the series; I have read the previous three books in the series. It's an erotic, short, quick read as all the novellas in this series are.

ONE NIGHT WITH THE BEST MAN can be read as a standalone if that is your preference. However, there are interconnected characters and I feel that the story of how these characters have been brought together thanks to magical dating guru Madame Eve was presented better in the former installments - so it would enhance your enjoyment of the series, if it was read in order.

What a great first book for Jessica. I found the story fascinating and easy to read.

I was impressed by this young woman's relationship with God and her family. This was a clean read. So refreshing!!

I can't wait to read more of Jessica's books in the future.

Refreshing!

I'm not usually a romance book reader but I must say I enjoyed this book hugely. Not only was it refreshing, but walking with Daisy through her struggles with obesity gives encouragement to those of us who struggle with healthy weight maintenance. I look forward to more from Jessica..and to hitting the gym!

This book is amazing! I love learning more about Jillian's past. The depth of grief she experiences when her husband dies is so heart wrenching, I could almost feel it! Jillian and Justin's story is so amazing it brings you back up! Two amazing love stories in one book! I'll most certainly be reading this book again! Love the Shore Leave Cafe Series to pieces!!!! Wonderful Series

I love, love, love the whole series of the Shore Leave Books......so suspenseful and entertaining.....great writing.

Absolutely loved the third book in this series!

I cannot even tell you how much I loved this book, being able to read the story from Jillian's perspective was amazing. Please tell me you are writing another one. I need to know what happens to Camille

Solid 3 stars, lots of repitition

While this series was quite interesting, this particular book, the story of Jillian, had a lot of repeating and flashbacks to the earlier books. I suppose the flashbacks and retelling were necessary to get her backstory done, but I think there were better ways it could have been handled. Large portions of this story were lifted exactly, word for word, from the earlier books and I felt it was a lazy way to tell Jillian's story. Just my opinion, as reviews always are, but it's how I felt. It felt like I'd already read the book and that left me feeling cheated.

This story grabbed my attention from the very first sentence when our heroine, Caroline Sunburst, shrieked: âItâs a week before my wedding, and youâre giving me what?â

In this novella, Caroline is a hotel magnateâs privileged daughter residing in San Diego. Sheâs slated to walk down the aisle to become Mrs. Blake Wellington in a weekâs time. Another Satisfying James Story

Ashley and Reed return in this second book of the Forever Yours Trilogy. Their siblings found love in Keeping Her Guilty Secret, and these two start this book as newlyweds.

Neither wants the emotional entanglement of the deep love they see in their siblings. They have a healthy attraction and decided to get married after Ashley became pregnant.

Reed works long hours at the contracting business. Ashley deferred acceptance to law school for a year with the pregnancy and continues to work at her event planning job. The return of her old high school boyfriend Jake confuses her a little, but then a miscarriage throws her and Reed into depression.

Neither has the words to comfort each other properly. Reed shuts Ashley out, and hurt, she moves to start a separation right away. She gets the final divorce papers quickly and realizes she was in love with her husband. She just didn't know enough about him, his feelings or his background to make the marriage work.

Reed doesn't need to see her ex boyfriend hanging around to realize what he lost; he knows it already from the deep unhappiness he is experiencing. With some bumps, these two move to find their way out of their sadness and back to each other.

This novella has plenty of emotion and James signature smart characters and dialogue. I am getting to the point where I read all of her work now. It is nice to see how deeply the man was affected by miscarriage too. The epilogue is surprising yet satisfying. Another fun read from James! I was happy to receive an ARC of this story in exchange for this review.

A Love Worth Saving

The man alpha male character of Reed is one of those guys that you know you are going to be obsessed with once the rough edges are polished by the woman he loves, but Reed doesn't fall in love. Ashley knows what her marriage to Reed is, not a love match but one derived from her accidental pregnancy. Their relationship builds and changes throughout the story and Anna James has crafted a love story isn't picture perfect like many authors want you to believe but one where Ashley and Reed's relationship has its bumps and heartbreaks. I really enjoyed this story. My only small qualm is that I would have enjoyed reading a little more about Reed's history.

This book is basically about a young couple who had a physical attraction which turned into a unplanned pregnancy and decided to marry for the sake of the baby. When Ashley miscarried and did not know how to cope with the lost they both retreated, Reed into his career and Ashley back to school. Ashley's old flame returned and tried to win her back but she knew she loved Reed but thought he only loved his career so she did the only thing she knew to do and she decided to go back to school. After Reed sees Jake with Ashley he acknowledges he love her and wants back.
