Twelve years ago, Jillian Henriksen cut off all her hair and placed it in her young husband's hands as he was buried. After his tragic accident, she clung to the only remaining stability she had - her young son Clint, her family of women, and her job at their lakeside diner, the Shore Leave Café.
Now it is summer again, and change is in the hot and humid air. Jillian's sister, Joelle, and her teenaged nieces, Camille, Tish, and Ruthann, have come home to Landon, bringing a welcome distraction.
And then there is Justin Miller, longtime family friend, brooding and sexy, but damaged after a terrible accident five years earlier. Will Jilly and Justin risk their broken hearts - and the Davis family curse - to take a chance on lasting love?

LOVE LOVE LOVE this book!!!
This book is amazing! I love learning more about Jillian's past. The depth of grief she experiences when her husband dies is so heart wrenching, I could almost feel it! Jillian and Justin's story is so amazing it brings you back up! Two amazing love stories in one book! I'll most certainly be reading this book again! Love the Shore Leave Cafe Series to pieces!!!! Keep the LOVE flowing Abbie!
Wonderful Series
I love, love, love the whole series of the Shore Leave Books......so suspenseful and entertaining.....great writing.
Absolutely loved the third book in this series!
I cannot even tell you how much I loved this book, being able to read the story from Jillian's perspective was amazing. Please tell me you are writing another one. I need to know what happens to Camille
Solid 3 stars, lots of repitition
While this series was quite interesting, this particular book, the story of Jillian, had a lot of repeating and flashbacks to the earlier books. I suppose the flashbacks and retelling were necessary to get her backstory done, but I think there were better ways it could have been handled. Large portions of this story were lifted exactly, word for word, from the earlier books and I felt it was a lazy way to tell Jillian's story. Just my opinion, as reviews always are, but it's how I felt. It felt like I'd already read the book and that left me feeling cheated.

her 3 daughters to Flickertail Lake for the summer and finds peace and healing but she
also finds passion. Before she knows whatâs happened, Jo finds out that Bly
has already left the state to turn himself in to the authorities in Oklahoma to face past charges.
In Second Chances we learn of his past and wait while
he serves his time in the jail in Oklahoma. Jo comes back to Landon where she continues
to impatiently wait for Blyâs return all while having to deal with her ex-husband and his
