The Washington County Sheriff’s office was the first law enforcement agency in the country to use Amazon’s artificial intelligence tool called Rekognition. Local officers can now use pictures from security cams, smartphones, even pictures from your social media and match that to mugshots in the police database leading them to narrow down a suspect’s identity.
