It may seem hard to believe, but in the mid 90s, wizardry was far from a common theme in movies and/or literature. But once British author JK (Joanne) Rowling introduced her first novel about a young wizard named Harry Potter, and the soon to be series was followed by sequels, you couldn't escape the oncoming copycats and anticipated announcements of release dates. Not to mention the phenomena. The series launched the careers of Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson, as well as made a ton of money at the box office. Yet, I was (mostly) not among those who were taken into the world of Hogwarts. So how will I and my co-hosts react to the eight Potter and two Fantastic Beasts films?

Six films into the series, and I'm starting to see a pattern. A kid with a past and a magic wand is turning the wizarding world on its head, and the prices he has to pay make him into a better man. But now, the pattern of how the rest of the series -which Matt told me about last podcast- is here. Director David Yates takes the directing reigns with The Order of the Phoenix. So how did he do, and do I feel the pattern is tired at this point?

Download below to find out the answers to these and many other questions as we review 2007's Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Stay tuned as more reviews of the series are coming and we end this series of podcasts with a review of Fantastic Beasts 2: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

The Wake & Bake hosts join forces with the BingeCast to review Bohemian Rhapsody and go into a really deep dive with Red Dead Redemption 2.  We haven't gotten too far, maybe a few chapters, but we still need to talk about that shit!  Kupka builds a shed in his house which is very loud (what is all that noise?!), Valley checks out Rhode Island Comic Con and Moreno is drunk. Big fucking surprise.  A new Binge Beer Shootout makes its return this week, and the boys get wasted, ok? Deal with it.

True Detective S3 trailer gets reviewed.

Should we watch the finale of House of Cards?  Do we even fucking care.

After the darkness began with Prisoner of Azkaban, fans were prepared for whoever could take the torch and run with it. Enter...the director of Four Weddings and a Funeral? That's right. Mike Newell stepped into the director's chair to continue the adventures of Harry Potter and company in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Was he up to the task?

Join me, Matt, and Adam as we discuss that question, as well as argue about Ralph Fiennes for ten minutes.

Batch and Logan James are back to drop some geeky goodness into your ear holes. Batch talks about The Flash, the new Doctor Who, then the boys discuss Netflix axing both Luke Cage and Iron Fist. James Gunn is supposedly going to be directing Suicide Squad 2 which both think is a great fucking idea. Batch fifes over Lego DC Super Villains, and much to Logan's pleasure (don't read too much into that), the show wraps up with a ton of Spidey talk, including the new video game DLC, Spider-Geddon, and Chip Zdarsky's last of issue Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man. That's it. Enjoy, you true fucking believers.

Chad C is back with a glowing review of Bohemian Rhapsody and why some people will hate it. Not sure that makes sense but whatever. Are the teeth an issue? Is Live Aid epic? Who has a cameo? All this answered and more inside.
