It may seem hard to believe, but in the mid 90s, wizardry was far from a common theme in movies and/or literature. But once British author JK (Joanne) Rowling introduced her first novel about a young wizard named Harry Potter, and the soon to be series was followed by sequels, you couldn't escape the oncoming copycats and anticipated announcements of release dates. Not to mention the phenomena. The series launched the careers of Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson, as well as made a ton of money at the box office. Yet, I was (mostly) not among those who were taken into the world of Hogwarts. So how will I and my co-hosts react to the eight Potter and two Fantastic Beasts films?

Three days after Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone was released to both critical and commercial success in 2001, its sequel, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets was already in production. A race to get it out in theaters within a year's time was on, and with director Chris Columbus back in the director's chair, it would seem almost inevitable that not only the success, but tone of the first film would be carried over. But would that tone serve this particular story well?

Join Matthew Goudreau as he steers myself and Adam Bunch in the direction of the Chamber of Secrets, and we determine if the film holds up in carrying on the Potter franchise.

After having my co-host Matt Goudreau go more than two years on this podcast doing series of my choosing, I thought I'd reward him for his hard work by choosing one series he'd been wanting to do for years. Enter Harry Potter, a series that is near and dear to his heart. To accompany him on his journey, he has brought myself and my announcer Adam Bunch. To start, we look at Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. A movie that has a reputation of being a good way to start a series, but kind of disappointing as it (and its stars) have aged. How will we feel about it?

Listen below as we pick up our first of ten broomsticks dedicated to the Wizard inhabiting phenomena. And keep checking back, as this series will continue twice a week until they are done, with a few surprises thrown in between.

The final season has left both TM and I with warm and fuzzy feelings. It was kind of a struggle to get through at certain point during the beginning of the season, but the show course corrected itself and gave us fantastic television.

Thanks everyone for listening along with us this season.  We'll see ya next year!

This is the chick serving hors d'oeuvre to people in this episode

We are playing catch up with Mayans commentary and we finally got Jack Valley back in the mix to help pick up the slack.

Let's face it, the show is not great, but we're committed to commentaries and will pick it apart as much as we goddamn want.

Week 5 in the NFL...to quote a great Sasquatch hunter, "what the F&$k is happening right now"...More playoff baseball talk, as the Yankees are fighting for their lives while we record the show.  A Little college football sprinkled in, along with BSV's. They finish up with their Week 6 Picks.

It's the return of the 4 hour show with The Winstons!

A couple of us saw A Star is Born (got Gaggs?).  The Endless, American Animals, Slice, Hotel Artemis, and Netflix's documentary on Quincy Jones is reviewed.  Some asshole named Ammon reviews Mandy during Google Voice.  Channel Zero is good.  Mayans (Youans) is compared to Animal Kingdom, Ozark and Jason Bateman get shit on, and we all yell at each other because we're drunk assholes.  So just another BingeCast.
