Ok. Before I get into the long winded written intro to this series of Jaws based podcasts, there are a couple things I want to point out. One, you may notice that there are four scores (Lincoln??) above my little set of images below this wording instead of three. That would be because some asshole on this podcast decided to score the film TWICE. Listen to hear who THAT winner was.

Second, if you scroll through the images below, you may notice a shear terrifying one that you more or likely do not recognize. That image....is also explained on this here podcast.

Ok, with THOSE bits of business out of the way, here is the long short of the next month or so of podcasts. Law and I are massive fans of the original film (listen in future weeks to hear if we are fans of the sequels as well), and Nate has only seen the first one. Do the math. We are going to put him through the motions, Aftertaste style, and then hear his response to all four films, one by one, one per week.

Sound reasonable enough? Good, because I'm thirsty.

Jaws (1975) (?/10, ?/10, ?/10), ?/10)

While Small Screen Heroes is usually your one-stop shop for all things comic book and pop culture, this week we decided to finally talk about the craziest show on TV, Twin Peaks.  Batch recruits Peaks-fife Valley to talk about David Lynch's career, flying frog-bugs (you read that right) and predictions for upcoming episodes and storylines.

Are you watching the new season of Twin Peaks?  What do you think?  Let us know in the comments below!

Game of Thrones is back and, yes, I'm watching.  No, secret viewing shenanigans here.  Batch joins me to talk about "Dragonstone", the first episode of the show's 7th season.  We discuss some book stuff but not much since the show is beyond the books now.  We also talk about how much we love The Hound, Ed "here, pass this" Sheeran and the infamous shit montage.  It's glorious and awful.

This week, I am joined by Ultimate Logan James, and together we bookend our original Spider-Man retrospective by dissecting anything and everything about Spider-man Homecoming. What did we like? What didn't we like? How was Michael Keaton's return to comic book acting? And why is (Aunt) May so freakin hot?

Download below to find out the answers to these questions and more!

And be sure to check this space next Friday, as Jim Law, Nate Peterson, and I start our look at the Jaws franchise.

Warning: Major spoilers ahead. Do not listen if you haven't seen the movie and don't want to be spoiled.

With Season 7 of Game of Thrones quickly approaching, I was once again torn between watching the show and holding out for The Winds of Winter. Since it’s unlikely we’ll get both TWOW and A Dream of Spring before the entire series ends (hoping to jinx myself here), I resigned myself to watching Season 7 and eventually, Season 8.

I enlisted my homeboy Art from Cali (an A Song of Ice and Fire geek in his own right) to discuss one of my favorite storylines in the novels. Let’s just call it the “Young Griff” storyline. There’s a lot of things that are either missing or changed in the show and I wanted to highlight, arguably, the most important storyline when it comes to Westeros and the Iron Throne.

We talk about Young Griff, Griff, Tyrion and how history in Westeros tends to repeat itself in future generations. Not in exact terms, but the same themes often pop up.

Art and I talked for a long time and we could’ve easily done another few shows. And we will definitely be doing that if you guys are interested. What other storylines should we discuss? Or should we go and discuss theories like we initially planned? Let us know!
