Binge Media

I have done ridiculous podcasts. I have done funny podcasts. But I don't think I have ever done as ridiculously funny a podcast as this one, our final entry in the Binge Jaws Retrospective.

In 1987, twelve years after the film which started the summer blockbuster, original Jaws co-star Lorraine Gary was retired. But put a script where she is the 'hero' of the story, and she fights a revenge seeking shark with her The Last Starfighter son Lance Guest, and you have the recipe for disaster known as Jaws The Revenge. Oh, did I mention the presence of Oscar winner Michael Caine?

I know I usually put a long winded history of the film discussed in the podcast on this page. But I think this show speaks for itself. Listen to a drunk Law, a semi drunk me, and a semi awake Nathan discuss what is widely considered one of the worst films of all time. But will all of us agree? And why am I so fixated on The Jets?

A big thank you to both Law and Nate, as this particular retrospective has been a real treat to do. Download the wacked out of its skull conclusion below.

Welcome to the new Binge SportsCast!  After our previous host, Luke, departed after giving us valiant service for 23 years, we finally found a couple CSers to fill the hosting void.  Enter PJ and TM.  After much discussion and planning, the boys recorded a show to give the lay of the land, talk about what teams their sport hearts lie with, and some current events.

This isn't a 19 hour long BingeCast, but the boys did want to hit the ground running with this show, so let's consider this episode, Episode 00.

Let the boys know what you think of the show!

Welcome to the third installment of our look at the Jaws franchise. Or, as Law and I call it, the part we do not remember doing. See, this podcast was recorded after we had been drinking and recording this week's Binge Cast. Combine that with a wide awake and ready to hate on anything avocado related Nate Peterson, and yet another co-host who decided to watch the film as we were reviewing it, and you have yourself a recipe for podcast disaster.

Speaking of disasters, that would bring me to this week's film. Jaws 3 was highly touted as being a terrifying addition to the franchise when it was being released. To top things off, it was riding the 80s wave of (cardboard glasses) 3D, as well as starring recent Oscar winner Louis Gossett Jr. What could POSSIBLY go wrong?

Join the three of us as we take the winding road that answers this question. And be sure to join us NEXT week, when we conclude this series with another entry in the Jaws franchise which stars an Oscar winner. Again, what could go wrong?

Question: What's better than another Game of Thrones commentary?

Answer: A Game of Thrones commentary featuring Binge Media's own "He Hate Me", Jim Kupka. Join Kupka and Jack as they talk about Kupka's change of heart, black as that heart may be, on this week's season 7 episode 3 commentary for "The Queen's Justice".

That's right, baby.  Download now.

Law & Ancira return from their respective lakes just in time to awake the mighty Poonslayer and his trail of wet spots.

Google Voice is ridiculous as usual. We hear about a horrible theatrical screening, somebody thinks firefighters are cocksuckers, somebody else declares war on avacaaaaados, and Magic Johnson still has AIDS. Or does he?

There's also a bunch of new television to talk about and some advanced screening reviews. There's no way I can remember everything that happened last night, alright? Stop yelling at me.

Timestamp Guy, save me!

0:00:00-Major IndieGoGo/Better Call Binge update!

0:04:10-Intro soundaaaaaaa

0:06:53-Law, Alyx, and GC! GC's fucking here! He's had some drinking problems, but not like that. Alyx details his lake getaway. Why wasn't GC on last week?

0:12:00-GOOGLE VOICE. New drops! Lots of voicemails. Fuck.

0:54:53-Lil announcement

1:02:23-Law starts with I'm Dying Up Here and Preacher. He also started The Defiant Ones and got back to Ballers. Game of Thrones. Law started and finished Ozark. Garrett watched O.J.: Made in America for the first time and People vs. O.J. Simpson, and the 30 for 30: June 17th, 1994. Collins has been drinking the juice! He also blasted through The Defiant Ones.

1:40:42-LIL RETROS. Alyx talks about Smokey and the Bandit. Law goes with Big Trouble in Little (Lil?) China. Mr. 4 on 10 brings up Aftertaste news with a possible massive movie franchise retrospective. Back to Law with a lake story. Pranks. Audiobooks/books.

2:03:42-WHAT DID YOU WATCH? Law and Alyx discuss Shot Caller. Garrett is in full shark mode with 47 Meters Down and then he goes further down the shit hole with The Emoji Movie. He also briefly touches on Under the Silver Lake, which he can't say too much on. He concludes his portion with Detroit.

2:46:05-LIVE GARRETT COLLINS GAME: DETROIT EDITION. Game takes place after a piss Sounder.

That's it, cocksucker. Now piss off, ya bloody wanker.

Just when you thought it was safe to go back to the movies, producers Richard Zanuck and David Brown put together a sequel to the first ever  summer blockbuster. But how does Jaws 2 come off now, especially to the Brit who is watching it for the very first time?

Delve into the movie with Scarface Shark and Two Face Shark, and listen to us argue over just how bad (or good) it is. The weird thing is despite the absence of Robert Shaw, Richard Dreyfuss, and Steven Spielberg, Jaws 2 has a good reputation amongst fans. But you know our motto here at the Binge studios. If it has a good rep, we will argue about it.

No Kupka means Batch and Freak get to rule the roost.  What better thing to do, then, except for play the shit out of Injustice 2?  Batch and Freak did a livestream over on Twitch so we cut it as an episode of the podcast for you non-stream-watching-fifes of the world.  But honestly, if you're a gamer and you aren't into Twitch streams, we're pretty sure you're doing it wrong.  Talk of SDCC, Overcooked, Hitman, Forza Motorsport 6 and Sniper Elite 4 aplenty.  Download now.
