Dustin Johnson wins The Northern Trust FedEx Cup Playoff Tournament at TPC Boston. This is DJ's 22nd PGA Tour win and 2nd of the 2020 season. Can he win the FedEx Cup at Eastlake in a couple of weeks? Harris English, Scottie Scheffler, Kevin Kisner, Daniel Berger, Jon Rahm, Webb Simpson and Harry Higgs all had a great tournament. The tournament was a ton of fun. DJ was lights out this week. It will be interesting to see how he plays as we complete the season. DJ has stated he wants the FedEx Cup and was willing to play FedEx Cup events over the Olympics. 

Several notable players will not be moving onto Chicago such as Phil Mickelson, Harold Varner III, Si Woo Kim, Pat Perez, Tommy Fleetwood, Brooks Koepka and Rickie Fowler. Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy played a couple of rounds together this week. The Big Cat played well on Sunday. Rory continues to struggle since the return. He plays Eastlake very well so it'll be interesting to see how Rory plays in a couple of weeks.

American sportscaster Wes Durham joins the show to discuss the NFL, PGA, NCAA, bourbon and bbq. He is a play-by-play announcer for Fox Sports and ACC Network coverage of college football and basketball. He works telecasts of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) due to his experience broadcasting in the conference.

Durham served as the radio play by play announcer for the Georgia Tech football and men's basketball teams from the start of the 1995-1996 season through 2010, and continued to announce the basketball games through 2013. He was also Georgia Tech's Director of Broadcasting and is the radio play-by-play announcer for the Atlanta Falcons.

Old Toccoa is a special course and an outstanding experience. 2020 Wyndham Championship Tournament Recap | Jim Herman shoots 63 to beat Billy Horschel for his 3rd PGA Tour win

Jim Herman played an outstanding tournament at Sedgefield Country Club to claim his 3rd PGA Tour victory. The leaderboard at the 2020 Wyndham Championship was close as the tournament in Greensboro, North Carolina approached the back nine on Sunday. Jim Herman was able to shoot 63 on Sunday to close out the win. Billy Horschel, Kevin Kisner, Webb Simpson, Doc Redman, S. Woo Kim, Harold Varner III and Zach Johnson had great tournaments. Zach Johnson shot a 61 on Saturday to get his tournament on track and was able to win enough FedEx Points to qualify for the playoffs starting next week at Northern Trust at TPC Boston. Pat Reed had a T9 finish for several good weeks in a row of ball striking. Brooks Koepka missed the cut on Friday after a good tournament on the PGA Championship with a disappointing Sunday finish. He will still be playing next week at TPC Boston for the Northern Trust playoff.

Collin Morikawa wins the 2020 PGA Championship in San Francisco at TPC Harding Park

Collin Morikawa defeated Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka to win his first PGA Tour Major Championship. Morikawa played a fantastic tournament on his home turf. Dustin Johnson was leading the tournament after the Saturday round but was not able to close out the major. Brooks Koepka had some interesting comments about the leaderboard on Saturday afternoon and shot a challenging 74 on Sunday. Matt Wolff had an impressive tournament and was in the mix on Sunday. Bryson DeChambeau and Tony Finau put on an impressive Sunday in their pairing. 

Paul Casey, Jason Day, Scottie Scheffler, Justin Rose, Patrick Reed, Cameron Champ, Xander Schauffele and Joel Dahmen were on in the running with  Top 10 finishes. 

We had a blast watching and chatting about the PGA Championship. Congrats to Collin Morikawa. Cheers.

Weller Full Proof Bourbon Tasting and Review | Speakeasy Bourbon Club

Weller Full Proof - What a treat it was to find this on the shelf! I wish it would've been more price friendly but i’ll let this one linger around on the shelf. The nose on this one is heavy cherry, vanilla, and caramel. I'm thinking Cinnabon all the way. The 114 proof doesnt turn me off, as the caramel sweetens this up nicely. Velvety smooth cherry syrup, long finish that appreciates some time in the glass to open up. Welcoming cinnamon disk finish and if you can find it for under $100 its a must pour for the topshelf. Cheers

The Birdies & Bourbon team chat with TOP 100 PGA Tour Instructor Jon Tattersall on the PGA Championship, Jack Nicklaus' Muirfield Village, Golf Swing Tips and what we could expect to see from a Rickie Fowler Golf Course Design

We had a blast chatting with Jon Tattersall about PGA Championship defending champion Brooks Koepka. Can Jordan Spieth close the career grand slam this week? Will Jon Rahm regain the #1 spot in the world from Justin Thomas? Jon has a great idea for a Rickie Fowler golf course design and yes it blows away Top Golf. Cal of course has to chat up Adam Scott's return to golf at the PGA Championship at TPC Harding Park. 

Jon is originally from North West England and came to America in 1988 to work as an Assistant golf professional for the legendary Buck Adams at CCNC in Pinehurst.

In 1998 Jon moved to Atlanta, GA to open a learning center with GOLF Magazine Top 100 instructor and ABC commentator Gary Smith.

In 2007 Jon co-founded Fusion ATL a sports performance facility designed to capture performance data and develop training protocols for the ardent golfer.  In addition, the the certified staff provide services from physical therapy to performance strength training.

With a philosophy that says, "Why guess when you can measure", Jon is an early adopter of technology.  He is an expert at using tools such as Trackman and Foresight launch monitors, and 3D from AMM, MAT and K-Vest.
