2020 Wyndham Championship Fantasy Picks and Predictions | PGA Tour Betting Strategies

The Birdies & Bourbon team chat 2020 Wyndham Championship Fantasy strategy and predictions at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, NC. We chat through the strategies for the event using Fantasy National stats. Webb Simpson is the clear favorite this week. Can he run away with the tournament? Pat Reed is also a strong pick for the tournament. We chat strategy for DraftKings, FanDuel and Sportsbook picks. The field has some strong players with Tommy Fleetwood, Brooks Koepka, Paul Casey, Justin Rose, Abraham Ancer, Harris English, Jordan Spieth and Brendon Todd all teeing it up. It's gonna be an interesting tournament as it's the last regular PGA Tour Event prior to the FedEx Cup Playoffs. Many of the players are working to gain FedEx points to help them in the playoffs for the Tour Championship at Eastlake.

Collin Morikawa wins the 2020 PGA Championship in San Francisco at TPC Harding Park

Collin Morikawa defeated Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka to win his first PGA Tour Major Championship. Morikawa played a fantastic tournament on his home turf. Dustin Johnson was leading the tournament after the Saturday round but was not able to close out the major. Brooks Koepka had some interesting comments about the leaderboard on Saturday afternoon and shot a challenging 74 on Sunday. Matt Wolff had an impressive tournament and was in the mix on Sunday. Bryson DeChambeau and Tony Finau put on an impressive Sunday in their pairing. 

Paul Casey, Jason Day, Scottie Scheffler, Justin Rose, Patrick Reed, Cameron Champ, Xander Schauffele and Joel Dahmen were on in the running with  Top 10 finishes. 

We had a blast watching and chatting about the PGA Championship. Congrats to Collin Morikawa. Cheers.

Weller Full Proof Bourbon Tasting and Review | Speakeasy Bourbon Club

Weller Full Proof - What a treat it was to find this on the shelf! I wish it would've been more price friendly but i’ll let this one linger around on the shelf. The nose on this one is heavy cherry, vanilla, and caramel. I'm thinking Cinnabon all the way. The 114 proof doesnt turn me off, as the caramel sweetens this up nicely. Velvety smooth cherry syrup, long finish that appreciates some time in the glass to open up. Welcoming cinnamon disk finish and if you can find it for under $100 its a must pour for the topshelf. Cheers

The Birdies & Bourbon team chat with TOP 100 PGA Tour Instructor Jon Tattersall on the PGA Championship, Jack Nicklaus' Muirfield Village, Golf Swing Tips and what we could expect to see from a Rickie Fowler Golf Course Design

We had a blast chatting with Jon Tattersall about PGA Championship defending champion Brooks Koepka. Can Jordan Spieth close the career grand slam this week? Will Jon Rahm regain the #1 spot in the world from Justin Thomas? Jon has a great idea for a Rickie Fowler golf course design and yes it blows away Top Golf. Cal of course has to chat up Adam Scott's return to golf at the PGA Championship at TPC Harding Park. 

Jon is originally from North West England and came to America in 1988 to work as an Assistant golf professional for the legendary Buck Adams at CCNC in Pinehurst.

In 1998 Jon moved to Atlanta, GA to open a learning center with GOLF Magazine Top 100 instructor and ABC commentator Gary Smith.

In 2007 Jon co-founded Fusion ATL a sports performance facility designed to capture performance data and develop training protocols for the ardent golfer.  In addition, the the certified staff provide services from physical therapy to performance strength training.

With a philosophy that says, "Why guess when you can measure", Jon is an early adopter of technology.  He is an expert at using tools such as Trackman and Foresight launch monitors, and 3D from AMM, MAT and K-Vest.

PGA Championship Fantasy Picks, WGC-FedEx Recap and Michael Farley on TPC Harding Park

The Birdies & Bourbon team recap the WGC FedEx St. Jude Invitational PGA Tour Tournament. Justin Thomas has reclaimed the World #1 Ranking from Jon Rahm. Brooks Koepka had a great tournament. Brendon Todd and Rickie Fowler could not close out the tournament. Daniel Berger and Jason Day had nice tournaments as did Chez Reavie. We had a great time watching and chatting WGC-FedEx. 

Next we chat all about the PGA Championship and kick off the discussion with a chat about TPC Harding Park. The course will certainly be a lot different from last week. We expect long hitters to have an advantage this week, but they must be accurate. We then get into our PGA Championship Fantasy Picks where we cover the field in detail for your PGA Tour DraftKings, FanDuel and Fantasy Picks. 

After the Fantasy Picks segment we are joined by Michael Farley. Michael has been on TPC Harding park for the past couple of days and provides an in depth chat about what he is seeing on the course and how it expects it to play this week.

Highwest Double Rye Whiskey Tasting and Review | Speakeasy Bourbon Club  

Highwest Double Rye is a blend of 2yr and 16 yr old whiskey. The first thing I get here is that young rye spearmint but it is rounded out with a sweet glaze taste. Toasted nuts and more sweetness on the palate with surprising heat from a 46% ABV. I find this complex with the young and old rye complementing each other quite nicely and lends to the medium smooth finish of smells you would get from a bakery. For around $35 it’s a welcomed upgrade from the traditional bottom shelf rye staples. Cheers  

Classification: Blend of Straight Rye Whiskeys Company: High West Distillery Distillery: Sourced Released: Ongoing Proof: 92 Age: Blend of 2 rye whiskeys: 2 & 16 year (2014) Mashbill: 2 year rye has 95% rye and 5% barley, 16 year rye has barely legal 53% rye and 37% corn (plus something else High West? This only adds up to 90%). Color:  Yellowish Gold MSRP: $35 (2017)   Nose: Complex, with a distinct “young rye” eucalyptus/menthol note that is well-balanced and held in check by a malty sweet cinnamon-roll character, complete with that sinful white confectioner’s glaze. Deeper in the glass, there are some rye grain and flour notes (bready, yeasty, nutty).

Founded in 2007, the Folds of Honor mission is to provide educational scholarships to the spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service members. Their motto says it best: Honor their Sacrifice. Educate their Legacy.

Tennessee is the sixth largest recipient state in the country with 240 scholarships being awarded in TN this academic year equaling close to $1.2 million dollars. There is no doubt the FOH impact hits close to home.  To display our commitment to these families who have sacrificed so much for our freedoms, I will play a golf marathon from sun-up until sun-down on Monday, July 27th. I am committed to playing as many holes as possible!

My goal is to raise at least four full scholarships, which is $20,000. WGC FedEx St. Jude Invitational PGA Tour Tournament Round 2 Highlights and Recap. 

The Birdies & Bourbon team breakdown the first two rounds of play of the WGC FedEx at TPC Southwinds. Brendon Todd is leading the way for the tournament while Rickie Fowler is two shots back at 2nd. How do you feel about these two being able to close the tournament out this weekend? Bryon had a fire ant situation on Thursday. Webb Simpson and Justin Thomas are looking good so far. Chez Reavie has improved his game over the past couple of weeks. We liked what we saw from him at Muirfield Village. How will he do in the weekend. 

Brooks Koepka shot a first round career low 62. Jordan Spieth is playing good going into moving day. Sungjae Im has finally bounced back and got the rust off from the COVID break. Patrick Cantlay and Paul Casey have been struggling this week as has Jon Rahm and Adam Hadwin.
