Hi everyone! We hope you are faring well during these crazy times. The current state of affairs have left many moms worrying about their births. Today we're chatting about your options if you're thinking of homebirth. We also discuss ways we're keeping our kids busy and healthy during this quarantine.
We will be back on Thursday with our regularly scheduled programming :) It's a good one!
Until then,

Taylor had an interest in birth long before becoming a mother. When she found out she was pregnant earlier than planned, she was immediately sure she wanted an out-of-hospital experience.
Taylor shares her struggles with perinatal depression throughout both pregnancies, her difficulties breastfeeding her first and how she manages to balance the on-call lifestyle of a student midwife and mom of two young babies!
Taylor loves the Haaka (a popular item among moms and professionals, alike!), Earth Mama's Perineal Spray, and Rescue Remedy's Rescue Pastiles really helped with her post partum anxiety! We hope they help you, too!

When Danielle had her first baby, she had no intention of going naturally. She had no issues throughout pregnancy, labor and recovery so didn't even consider any other options when she had her second. But.. baby #2 had other plans! Danielle arrived so late to the hospital that an epidural wasn't an option and this birth opened up Danielle's heart and mind to another type of birth and prenatal care, full of informed choices and less interventions.

Madi planned to have a hospital birth without medication for baby #1. She took Bradley classes (http://www.bradleybirth.com/) during her pregnancy and she and her husband learned some really great coping tips for labor. She was so inspired by her labor, she became a childbirth educator and doula postpartum! Listen to hear how Madi successfully labored at home for as long as possible and her crazy experience when she finally got to the hospital!

Celia had planned to have a natural birth in a birth center for her first baby. Her labor started and fizzled out. It later started back up with a vengeance! A snowstorm was expected for the next day and rush hour was in full effect. What should've been an easy, half hour ride to the birth center turned into over an hour long journey with Celia's contractions getting stronger along the way. She soon realized she wouldn't make it to the birth center after all. Make sure you listen to hear how and where baby Roah made his debut and laugh with us along the way!

Thanks for tuning in to MY birth stories today, folks! It's been awhile so the details are a bit hazy, but it's been great for me to look back as we inch closer to the birth of baby #3. I had both of my children in a hospital and didn't feel like I had much of a voice. I was able to achieve my goal of a natural birth, but with many intervening factors. I am grateful for the research I've done and the stories I've heard since that has led me to where I am now, planning a homebirth.

Welcome to Birth Naturally! Thanks for tuning in to our FIRST birth story! We are so excited to start this journey with you all. We hope you find our podcast to be fun, educational and helpful in making choices for your best birth.
Cait, my sister and co-host, never considered a natural birth, let alone a homebirth. As the weeks ticked on in her third pregnancy, all signs pointed Cait home. Her birth was beautiful and transformative. We hope it shows that no matter what baby this is for you, it's never too late to change course and chose a different way to birth.
