Do our phones and social media give us short-term happiness but long-term loneliness and isolation? Or are there actually ways we can connect digitally in meaningful ways? Dr. Drea Letamendi is back to answer all these questions/tell us if we've turned into complete zombies.
More about Dr Drea:
She is a fellow with the Institute of Coaching at McLean, an affiliate of the Harvard School of Medicine, and served as the Director of Resilience at UCLA. Dr. Drea’s work about the positive impacts of entertainment media on mental health has been featured in the Atlantic, the Guardian, the Los Angeles Times, and on Disney+. She has partnered with Warner Bros., Fandom, DNEG, and other media companies to amplify and improve health consciousness, disseminate wellness practices, and center authentic identities as a part of healing. Her mental health podcast, The Arkham Sessions, celebrates and explores how pop culture can help us cope, recover, and thrive.

Why do we have to change our clocks back or forward? Why do people say heads up when you should duck? Why does Eggman always outrun Sonic, even though Sonic is supposed to be the fastest thing alive? Today we’re talking about things that don’t make sense.

Screw Columbus, but one thing we can agree on is that in the very least Thanksgiving serves as a reminder of just how powerful gratitude is. This episode is dedicated to expressing and realizing the various things we have to be grateful for in the hopes that it resonates with you or inspires thoughts of the things you have to be thankful for. Spread that shit and don't let it go.
p.s. we are so very grateful for your existence and your support

With the recent rise of Anti-semitism (cough Kanye cough cough Kyrie), our personal favorite Jew, Roxy Striar is telling us 11 common misconceptions about Jews we should all know. (P.S. this was Dorina & Steph’s favorite episode so far. It’s cool to learn how to treat other cultures with respect and know how to combat the perpetuation of harmful ideology and stereotypes.)
