Bitcoin Rapid-Fire

Robert Breedlove is the Co-Founder and CEO of Parallax Digital, a digital asset hedge fund and digital securities advisory firm. He also writes about Bitcoin, and has some AMAZING articles on his Medium page which address some of bitcoin's most fundamental concepts in a very wholistic yet concise way (Recommendation: Money, Bitcoin and Time). Robert's articles have been VERY well received by the bitcoin community, and ever since I read them I've been eager to have Robert on the pod for a chat.

Robert was also invterviewed for the current Gold vs. Bitcoin series on Real Vision, which was great (Real Vision has a deal on now, $1/month for 3 months, for full access to their video library).

Eric Voskuil is the lead developer on Libbitcoin, a prolific writer on Austrian Economics and what he calls the 'Principles of Cryptodynamics', former Navy fighter pilot, world traveller and highly regarded voice amongst many bitcoiners.

After hearing Eric appear on some other podcasts, I was both intrigued and somewhat confused, and decided to reach out to him to try and get some further clarity on his opinions.

Rui Gomes is the lead software engineer at OpenNode, a bitcoin payment processor with lightning integration. Flexible and easy-to-use payment processors are essential for growing the bitcoin economy, and bringing traditional businesses into the space. Combined with lightning, they represent the possibility for payment solutions that are orders of magnitude better than what is available from the incumbent players.

As a result, I thought it would be interesting to speak with Rui to pick his brain, learn more about developments in the space, and ask him about the difference between what he and the team at OpenNode are building, in comparison to something like BTCPay Server (Spoiler: They are different).

This issue is often misrepresented in the mainstream media, so it is very important that objective analysis is use to understand it, and that it is considered in the proper context.

Hass is also a very 'devout' bitcoiner with lots of interesting views, so I thought it would be fun to get together for a chat.

'Bitcoin Sign Guy' became famous for holding up a notepad with 'Buy Bitcoin' scribbled on it, directly behind then Chair of the Federal Reserve, Janet Yellen, during a congressional hearing. Of course, this was loved by bitcoiners the world over, and thus, the legend of 'Bitcoin Sign Guy' was born:)
