'Bitcoin Sign Guy' became famous for holding up a notepad with 'Buy Bitcoin' scribbled on it, directly behind then Chair of the Federal Reserve, Janet Yellen, during a congressional hearing. Of course, this was loved by bitcoiners the world over, and thus, the legend of 'Bitcoin Sign Guy' was born:)

Dr. Shawn Baker is a bad motherfucker. Orthopedic surgeon, Air Force vet, World Record holder, Strongman Champion, and most recently, outspoken advocate of a diet based primarily on red meat, also known as ‘The Carnivore Diet’, which also happens to be the title of his upcoming book (November 2019).

I’ve had a life-long interest in nutrition, fitness and health, and have been wanting to speak with Shawn since I saw his appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast.

Interestingly, there is also a large contingent of people in the Bitcoin community who follow and advocate for the Carnivore Diet, so I thought some of them may be interested in hearing from Shawn also.

Yan Pritzker represents another classic case of someone who has re-directed their entire career as a result of catching the bitcoin bug. Specifically, Yan left his position as co-founder and CTO of reverb.com, the popular open marketplace for music equipment, to devote himself to educating people about bitcoin. His first effort in this new career has culminated in ‘Inventing Bitcoin’, a book he authored to try and make understanding bitcoin more accessible to a mainstream audience. For those people in your life that you’re trying to ‘red pill’, I think this book could be a very useful tool:)

Brandon Quittem is the author of a series of articles on Medium that has grabbed the attention and expanded the perspective of bitcoiners everywhere. In his 4-part series, Brandon explores the similarities shared between bitcoin and mycelium (the underground fungal network from which mushrooms emerge), referring to bitcoin as a ‘decentralized organism’. Analogies between bitcoin and other natural processes and phenomena have been made before, however none appear to be more apt than the one Brandon makes with mycelium.

In my view, such analogies are important, and garner so much interest, because the degree to which an analogy is apt or appropriate, represents the degree of use we may derive from transferring known understandings or insights from it, to the the subject of the analogy, which we are all desperately trying to understand more.
