B.L. Metal Podcast

Andreas returns! This time we did a regular and safe show with metal sent in by YOU people. We needed a rinse after the absolute shitfest that was #97.

This episode will be the last one in a few weeks, since we're moving the hq to a brand new place with no internet access thus far. I'll give it 2 to 3 weeks 'til I have some new mayhem to serve you. Until then - feel free to check out older shit and comment on it's content here on Soundcloud or on Facebook.

Much dissatisfaction!

Playlist:

Rituals - Wake of a Dead God's Robe

Jungle Rot - Send Forth Oblivion

Massive Scar Era - Color Blind

Voivod - Ikonspiracy

Volturyon - Fungus Coat

Ok people! This is one for the books. Andreas of AGES/VOLTURYON joins B.L. in the studio. We dive deep into the rabbit hole of 'female fronted metal'. This is not a show about DORO - or even ARCH ENEMY. This is all about a genre that's been on the rise as of late. But what is it? How does it sound? Connaisseur Andreas helps B.L. to come to terms by watching videos on Youtube.

Whole lotta dissatisfaction!

Playlist:

Then She Came - Perfect As You Are

Shadowside - Alive

Ages - Apotheosis

Can't breathe through my nose! But I CAN apologize for not putting up a show for two weeks straight. I'm sorry, but life got in the way. You know what it's like. But here are 4 tracks of varying quality to make it up. Also I'm stirring attention around an old underrated gem. So... yeah.

A whole lotta dissatisfaction!

Playlist:

Krisiun - Devouring Faith

Serpent Ritual - Death. Void. Khaos.

Brood of Hatred - Controlling

Third Storm - The Third Thought from the Sun

Accept - Crossroads

Burning down the house! Well, not really. But we're moving in to one and it's keeping me busy and it keeps me from doing the podcast. Still only 9 days (or so) apart. Hopefully I can keep this pace up!

Today we listen to some major label prog death, some non-riffing anonymous bullshit death, some darkstep (!!!), some old man's death and a little bit o' somethin' from the vault. Cherish and praise! And don't forget to heed!

And oh! I forgot to thank Joakim Egestedt for the Horrendous melody. Thanks mate!

Whole lotta dissatisfaction!

Playlist:

Horrendous - The Idolater

The Heretic's Fork - Concealed in Infamy

Dusk - The Next Me

Deicide - Seal the Tomb Below

God Dethroned - The Crown for the Morbid

Maaaaaan...! Too tired but it was now or never. The show had to be done, and done it became (?)!

Tonight B.L. is walking you through three quite shitty production jobs in their own way, bonehead death/black metal, celebrity death metal and some swedo sludge as icing on the cake. Try doing it better yourself on a pointless Tuesday!

Whole lotta dissatisfaction!

Playlist:

Blutvial - Existential Rite

Necroblood - Terrorist Antichrist

Hate Eternal - What Lies Beyond.

Valdur - Goat of Iniquity - Devouring the Whore of Darkness

Switch Opens - Pyramids

Totally back!

First day of proper work in over two months took it's toll. Tired as shit, but in a fairly good mood. Tonight I talk about a podcast that caught my interest lately - Death Metal Dads. Total support. Other than that I play some math-"thrash", totally orthodox west bottom black metal, some useless, legacy ripping, washed up crap from a once rather neat black metal band, some sludge (?) and something I added to the vault quite recently.

Much dissatisfaction!

Playlist:

Azusa - Interstellar Islands

Malakhim - A Thousand Burning Worlds

Anaal Nathrakh - Forward!

Expander - R type 2 Civilzation

Extremity - Like Father Like Son

Back with a vengeance and a cup of coffee!

What do we have here?? Well, are you too cool for Zelda death, crossover with good vocals, legendary blackened death, decent Bollnäsian black metal or doom done fast? Well look away then, 'cause 'tis is totally what you're getting. Far out!

Much dissatisfaction!

Playlist:

Chthe'ilist - Passage into the Xexanotth

3:33 - Den of Madness

Unanimated - Adversarial Fire

Hellsingland - Tystnaden

The Haunted - Well of Souls

The heat is on! But today it's better - hence a new episode! This episode a review music from two bands that are friends of mine. Always tricky and sensitive, but it is what it is. The moment I start adjusting my thoughts in order to be everybody's BFF it alls goes to shit. So, here's me being honest (as usual).

We bring you some supergroupie death metal, Hollywood death, old school doom and nidrosian black metal. We end things with a classic from the vault. Not bad ey?

Playlist:

Heads for the Dead - Serpent's Curse

Behemoth - Dog = Dog

Stygian Crown - Trampled into the Earth

One Tail, One Head - Rise in Red

Sindrome - Descending into Madness

Hails! The heat from another sun makes us perish in flames, but I withstand it in the name ugly metal. This is the most torturous show yet in terms of recording conditions. The ghastly beats sent in by YOU might have something to do with it too.

Whole lotta dissatisfaction!

Playlist:

Black Funeral - Dankuis Daganzipas (Dark Earth)

Maligner - Oath-bound

Burial Invocation - Visions of the Hereafter

Mass Hypnosia - Here's the Knife

The Ruins of Beverast - Malefica

Joakim Karlsson of CRAFT joins me! We talk about the new Craft record "White Noise and Black Metal" and how to approach the genre independently without paying too much attention to what's expected of oneself. We also listen to some new assorted metal that YOU have sent in. Surprisingly good stuff this week. Competent death metal and some oddball 'skippy' black metal. Heed!

Much dissatisfaction!

Playlist:

Craft - Again

Construct of Lethe - Rot of Augury

Gutter Instinct - Shock Doctrine

Black Mass Pervertor - Suffering, Our Everlasting Bliss = Hidas

Wretched Fate - Split Tounge Illumination

Thorns - Existence
