Were here at episode 10!!! Thank you all for listening, following and sharing my podcast and also interacting with me. I'm glad doing this has made people open up. Now in today's episode, I have a very special guest Dr Amina Hersi aka @thepcosdr who is a qualified general practitioner who also has been diagnosed with PCOS. In this episode, Amina talks about her investigative and diagnosis journey, what she was taught about in medical school and why she started her Instagram page plus a lot more. Thank you Amina for joining me and I will definitely have you on again.
Hey Everyone,
Welcome back to another episode of Black, Broke & Anxious Podcast. This episode is going to be a storytime/rant about being solicited in the DM's by business/services. Since being on Instagram and releasing my episode it has become apparent that I'm a lost cause looking for a diet plan to save and and have compelled these businesses to come into my DM's to be my saviour (for a fee of course). I speak about my experience with them, how I respond to them and try to advise others on how to handle the predators. Let me know what you think and follow me on Instagram for more posts and information @blackbrokeandanxiouspodcast.
Following on from the dreary episode might as well date my uterus, comes a more lighthearted episode. PCOS in the office talks about how I and I'm sure other people with PCOS navigate within the work environment. From the brain fog to the LONG WALK (listen and you'll get it) to the PMS and the famous temper tantrums, this is an episode I'm sure you'll be able to resonate with.
So this the episode I've been dreading to release..... I'm sure the title alone can show you the frustration I currently have with myself and the dating game. Im not gonna lie it's deep and dreary soooo I'll do the TRIGGER WARNING and warn you to listen at your own risk, I would hate for someone to feel triggered by what i'm saying about myself. Anyways, I asked a question in this episode and would love to know.......... How did you tell your significant other about your chronic condition? Whether it be PCOS or another condition that affects your reproductive organs. You can answer within the comments or alternatively head to my Instagram where you can DM your response. I will not disclose your name and it will be kept completely confidential. Answers will be posted in a separate instagram post I would like to create. Instagram- @blackbrokeandanxiouspodcast
Hi All,
Hope you all enjoyed the holiday season. Unfortunately, its back to business for a lot of us but I'm excited to be getting back to the podcast and advocating for PCOS. This episode is about the blood bath that is my period, from the gushing bloody waterfall to being confused and skeptical of using regular tampons pad free (It's a genuine fear) .
