Episode 40: Honestly, what don't we discuss in this episode?! One of these hipsters is a fan of entertaining and would rather do it themselves to get it right (I think we know it is not Stanley). We hope the promising 'A Black Lady Sketch Show' keeps us laughing and feeling inspired by all the talented melanin on screen. Is Cardi B benefitting from colorism, and why are black people not given as many chances to fail AND shine as their white counterparts? Can we find a balance between the problematic and empowering messages some of our favorite celebs showcase? One thing is for sure, social media is not all bad - and we are most definitely here for the entertaining yet sometimes questionable content.

Episode 36: Shalwah dishes on all the fabulousness that is Essence Festival! Missy Elliott was for sure one of the best performers she has ever seen. Nas and Ginuwine were highlights (as well as all the gorgeous black men) and of course our favorite sis Mrs. Obama herself shined liked the true goddess she is.

Episode 34: We can't name all our favorite treats as kids but Now and Laters, Laffy Taffy and a 25 cent juice ( or quarter waters as Shalwah calls them) were the things dreams were made of! And the contentious subject of reparations is back in the news again. These hipsters discuss what they think reparations would look like, why its necessary and why the state of the country is getting much worse.
Episode 33: If our Queen Bey had been a few shades darker would she be the mega star she is today?! Dominican artist Jarina De Marco highlights colorism in the Latinx community. And your favorite hipsters speak on how this issue has affected them personally. BTW, don't even think about coming for us Beyhive, everyone knows we live, die and would come back from the dead for Yoncé!

Episode 32: Losing your bags, missing your flight and turbulence don't even hold a candle to this Black Hipster's worst flight ever. Your girl regales us with an experience that is equal parts gross, shocking and funny as hell. We touch a little on the latest shenanigans of Donald Trump, and Black Mirror opens its newest season with an interesting episode that brings up questions of sexuality, monogamy and relationships in the Black community.
