Black On Both Sides

Episode #15

KingKunta is fresh off of a trip to Atlanta (No We didn’t get to hang out) and explains why we missed a week. No there wasn’t a Make Music Great Again offering from Kanye. But Wayne did drop and it was everything we all hoped it would be (Except for that Swizz Beats record).

(And that Mannie Fresh record).

But other than that it will one day be regarded as a classic. We missed you, sir. Glad you are back. Time’s up for mumble rappers. Wayne returning makes it evident that all of them have been copying his style for years. Meanwhile, Kanye makes multiple appearances in his MAGA hat and Kaepernick sweatshirt. This just proves that it is really difficult to be a part of that family. Kanye is having to try really hard to get attention.

Lastly, Kavanaugh is very close to being appointed to the Supreme Court while in the midst of sexual misconduct allegations. Now I am not a supporter of people waiting until something big happens in someone’s life before striking up a “me too” conversation. But did you know they are only giving the team a week to provide damning evidence of misconduct? Kind of puts the Bill Cosby thing into perspective, huh?

Episode #14

This week we discuss Katt Wiliams and his rant on Tiffany Haddish. He also claims that he is self-made, owning all rights to his entire catalog. I guess that is possible but is his catalog good enough to matter? We may disagree on that point.

We also dig deeper into the Dallas officer that shot a man in his own apartment with what would seem as no reason. Is this finally the victim that everyone can get behind to make headway into the fight against police brutality? Is this even considered police brutality? Why is the charge a simple manslaughter?

Episode #13

Nike split the country with its support for Colin Kaepernick. In doing so, sales are up 31%. Publicity stunt or not, people seem to be supportive. And that message is good for everyone. At this point, if you don’t recognize the sacrifice he has made for other people, you are dead on the inside.

Serena is accused of melting down during her eventual loss to new blood. Kunta feels like this is just more subterfuge to take away from the fact that the young winner is black.

If you are in your apartment in Dallas; and that apartment just happens to be located near a police officer’s apartment; you could die. I wish that were a joke. Police Officers in Dallas are allowed to mistake someone else’s home for their own and then kill the person who lives in that hoe for breaking and entering. Still waiting on charges.

Trump apparently has snakes in the grass and Kunta is ready for the impeach Party.

Episode # 12

Kunta is on vacation, but that didn’t stop him from podcasting. Either he really likes hearing himself talk or he is dedicated. I will go with the latter. So shouts out to him for going the extra mile for us.

On today’s menu, Aretha’s going away party and Ariana’s boob. Kunta knows people who attended and snap chatted the whole thing. In case you were wondering there were four wardrobe changes for the deceased. I don’t even have four nice things to change in to and I’m still breathing.

This can’t be a coincidence, John McCain also drifted home. Funny thing is, Obama passed on Franklin’s funeral but made it to McCain’s. Dub-ya was also there and shared his candy. Could Kanye have been wrong about Bush this whole time?
