12 episodes! They keep coming. Today is an extra long one with one of my best friends the one and only, Shapel Lacey (@shapellacey)! Shapel is becoming a well known comic all over the country. He has opened for several big name comics but more recently has been headlining rooms, and making waves with his podcast "It's Managed". Shapel was my first good friend in LA. He is a great dude with an amazing story and an incredibly talented performer (and athlete). He is very insightful about his journey from being a person who was previously quick to anger, and feel hatred to being the kind and understanding person he is today. Aaaaaaand we are back! One day off because I slept in and didn't time out the schedule right. But its worth it because today's guest is a banger! You know him as one half of the "Church of Whats Happening Now" podcast alongside Joey Diaz, Mr. Lee Syatt (@leesyatt)! Lee and I first met at an open mic. He's a very talented stand up who is beginning to see a lot of opportunity for his prowess on stage. I really enjoy Lee as a person. He is one of those guys I wrongfully expected to be standoffish or rude based on his recognition. He is a sweetheart and nice to everyone around him. That teamed with funny is the perfect mix. Today I'm joined by another very strong, and funny comic who I'd consider a friend Mr. Josh Potter (@josh_potter)! Josh is a national headliner and one of the many contributors on the popular podcast Your Mom's House with Tom Segura and Christina P. In this episode Josh and I discuss the stark realities of the current situation and the ramifications it could have on stand up comedy. We also talk about video games, seclusion, and dark times in the past with his several eye surgeries. (@placesitookashitthisyear) Logan is another incredibly advanced level stand up who intimidates me, but was amazing to talk to. She has been on Comedy Central, and featured by several clubs including the Hollywood Laugh Factory. On this episode we discuss witnessing disgusting acts, which family member she would eat in the apocalypse, and drinking to excess. Please go follow her and watch her clips.
