Blackoutpod with Pete Souvall

I'm joined by on of my favorite comics in the city to watch, Kelly Ryan (@thisiskellyryan). Kelly is a very accomplished (and hilarious) young stand up who can be seen doing spots at The Hollywood Improv, and The Comedy Store, and also touring the country. We discuss comedy, crazy nights in college, and sexual assault that she is somehow able to recall in a way that had me dying of laughter. Please go follow Kelly and keep an eye out for her!

I'm joined by Ahmed Al-Khadri (@ahmedfromdallas) to discuss comedy, growing up muslim, and experience with drugs. Ahmed is a great comic and a friend of mine who has been kind to me from the beginning. He runs a show and a mic in LA, and has a bright future in the industry. Please go follow him and pray for his soul!

On this episode I'm joined by Amy Silverberg!(@amysilverberg). Amy is a USC Professor, JFL New Faces feature, and was recently seen on Comedy Central Stand-Up. We sit down to discuss our parents, lack of threesomes, and her epiphanies at frat parties that lead her to pursue writing and comedy. Very fun conversation. Amy is a very sweet person and the time flew by! Go check out her writing at amysilverberg.com, her standup on youtube, and follow her on instagram/twitter!

On this episode Shapel Lacey (@shapellacey) returns to the podcast! Shapel is the host of his own podcast called "It's Managed" and a rapidly rising headliner who will no doubt be a household name soon. He's also one of my best friends. We discuss his anger issues, fighting, drinking, and the comedy world. Please go follow Shapel and keep an eye out for dates in your city to go see him. Thanks for listening!

On this episode I'm joined by Lara Beitz (@larabeitz) an incredibly talented comic, Comedy Store regular, and has also recently performed on Lights Out with David Spade. Lara and I discuss her past with alcoholism, relationships with family, and the comedy world as a whole. She's such an interesting person and so so talented. Please go follow her and enjoy the episode!

On this episode I am joined by Malik B. (@malikbazille) Is a stand up comic, professional boxer, and one of my close friends. We discuss his newly self proclaimed title of "Rookie of the year", fighting in his early years, and why he pursued comedy. Also he seems to think a rap career is in his future. Malik can be seen opening for Bryan Callen on the road and will soon be everywhere. Go follow him and make sure to call him ROTY.

On this episode I am joined by one of my favorite LA comics. Comedy Store door guy, and all around nuisance Dylan Sullivan! (@dylanraysull). Dylan is one of the funniest comics I've seen perform in the city. He recently returned from the road with Bobby Lee, and will no doubt continue to do big things. He has a history with drugs and alcohol...but we don't get in to it much...this episode is mostly him roasting me. Its very funny. Go listen and enjoy!

I have reached episode 36. I have had some amazing guests and great times. But my life since I began the podcast has changed dramatically and I wanted to have a nice reflective episode to update listeners on whats happening with me. Also tell some more wild stories! Enjoy!

On this episode I am joined by hilarious comic and known bully Matt Lockwood! (@mattdaddylockwood). Matt is a door guy at The Comedy Store and has opened for the likes of Andrew Santino among other well known performers. Listen as we discuss anxiety, partying as a young man in Florida, and high school drinking. Matt is unique in that he seems absolutely meant for comedy. He's a very quick witted and silly but was able to provide a really interesting and deep conversation. Go follow Matt and enjoy!

On this episode I am joined by the hilarious Nicole Aimee Schreiber!(@nicoleaimee) Nicole is a well known killer in the comedy world, and a paid regular at The Comedy Store in LA as well as The Comedy Cellar in New York. Not before she makes fun of my nightgown tshirts...we discuss sobriety, sexual assault, and her time managing a bar. Nicole is not only a great stand up and actress but a great person and fun hang. Please go follow her on Twitter and Instagram and go see her if she's at a venue near you!
