Frank Duncan has a story like no one else. His post-high school career started at Kansas then he was drafted and worked his way up to getting a call to MLB Spring Training and then being traded the very next day. Every setback Duncan has experienced, he has come back with the same drive to get back to the top. His Independent ball experience during the 2020 pandemic year was spent on the road, it wasn't glamorous by any means but it was fun. Being his best coach during his career, Duncan has found a way to still be a productive piece to a rotation.   

It was another week with multiple player of the week awards and tons of wins down on the farm. Joining us to talk about about those wins and the farm on this special edition of Road to Blake Street -- Banter is Patrick Lyons of DNVR. Patrick offers his insider insight as we go through our affiliate by affiliate rundown with some big questions facing players at every level.

Nick Bush shares some player insight of the day the lockout was lifted! Bush, currently with the Hartford Yard Goats, sat down with us this past off-season and talks ball. From his time at LSU to Lackey being terrible at golf, Bush’s story is a fun one! He’s a small-town guy but you’ll never guess which MLB superstar also played at his alma mater, Lee County HS, just outside of Atlanta. Tommy John Surgery, like many, plays a large part in Bush’s early career. Nick Bush advocated being a starter if the Rockies drafted humans he’s doing everything he can to stay in that rotation, with special things to a fellow Rockies starting prospect! We end the session with some superlative questions that have fantastic answers!

We're back! After taking a week off, there were a lot of developments with the Rockies minor league affiliates to cover. We take a different approach this time and cover the biggest positives from each affiliate so far and, on the other side, analyze some concerning trends with a few notable prospects. We finish by taking a look at the newest Rockies minor league signing and predict his impact.

Go check out the blog to get caught up!  Joe Rock, 2021 2nd round draft pick out of Ohio, sat down in the offseason and talked ball. During the interview, you get a feel of Joe's mentality going between the white lines -- and everything he said then is true now.
