Not much happening on EastEnders this week aside from a lot of cockney screeching from the Slaters. Emmerdale’s Moira discovers Debz’ dirty secret, and Corrie ramps up to a big week of tragedy. General Hospital gives us the concept of a “conundrum box” that might explode if the wrong person opens it.

We don’t know if that’s a real thing, but join us to talk about it all on The Soapy Madams Podcast!

Also: Coronation Street will be featuring a suicide story, to bring attention to the problem of suicides particularly in young British men, but also to the problem of suicide in general. For the next few weeks we’ll display the numbers for suicide hotlines on our page, and if you’re thinking of doing yourself in, please call them and get help. We want you around.

National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, 1-800-273-8255. (US)

Samaritans, 116 123 (UK)

Our intro music is by Jahzzar, our bed music is by Kevin MacLeod and Bird Creek. They are all wonderful so go check them out!

Reunion on the screen as well as in studio as Kari rejoins the BBM crew for Season 2 of Westworld, starting with this week’s episode.  Phil, David, and Kari discuss the slower than usual pace of this episode, the Biblical parallels, and one of the best cameos we’ve seen in a long time.  Ultimately, we don’t know the direction this show is heading in, and that’s so much of what we love about it.

Imran Javed is holding his tongue and holding back Kari from swearing while Trivia Geeks Live attempts a PG version of the show.  This week Imran welcomes the hosts from GravityBeard and The Braintrust Bros. Chris gives it his all but Rhett fires back with a punch.  Who will be victorious? Listen in and wager your guess!

JV is joined by their comedy hero, Myq Kaplan from Broccoli And Ice Cream, Hang Out With Me, and in general being a stand-up comedian from one of the best. Listen in as they discuss what it’s like to be a comedian, defining comedy, and stories that are funny but that we aren’t sure why they are funny. (Part #2)
