It's time to celebrate another host's birthday. Bryan is turning another year older so he gets to be in control of the episode this week. We talk about a lot of things: from Die Hard, to City of Heroes, the Terminator, and our favorite video game worlds. But we still keep it spooky by talking about the apocalypse and which horror movie villains would win in a fight. It'll be fun on the bun!
We are not out of spooky season yet, so this episode we are still talking about scary things. But we take a look at our favorite movies that are both horror and comedy. DC Fandome was also this past week, and so we discuss some of the trailers for upcoming DCEU movies and shows. However, we get a bit distracted by Home Alone, Scooby -Doo, and USA Up All Night. See if your favorite movies match our own, and then yell at us on social media when they don't.
In the spirit of the season, this episode we talk about zombies. Whether it's the undead or the infected, we discuss the brief history of zombies in media and pick our favorite movies, games, TV shows, books or whatever. We also talk about some great upcoming animated shows that have nothing to do with zombies. But we get slightly distracted by Dungeons and Dragons, and D.A.R.E. cartoons. Remember to double tap, keep up our cardio, and join us for some undead mayhem.
It's Spooky Season, so we jump on the band wagon to celebrate the season with our first of several holiday-themed episodes. This episode we talk about the first horror movies we watched, but also relive our favorite Halloween movies, shows, and specials. There's a lot of scary out there, so we try our best to cover the most memorable ones. But we get distracted by movies made into TV shows, the 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo, Aang vs. Zaheer, and Spider-man deep fakes. No Pumpkin Spice Lattes here, only Super Ghouls & Ghosts.
It's our review of the latest Marvel Studios movie: Shang-Chi. What we like about, and what we don't, and where we think this leaves the MCU. How does it compare to other MCU movies? We also talk about the new Cowboy Bebop live-action show coming to Netflix. But we also get distracted by William Stryker's Podcast, what's happening in the DCEU, recent anime we have watched, and where Nick Fury could be right now in the MCU. If you ever wanted to watch a wizard monk fight a gamma-irradiated behemoth, then this might be your movie.
On this episode we take a look at video game side characters who should have their own games, and what those games would look like. Each host picks one character to get an original video game and we all speculate on them. We get distracted by fancasting for the MCU, Mortal Kombat, Steven Universe, and Topher Grace. If your favorite side character isn't picked, let us know about it on our social media.
We pour one out for our homies in Task Force X and review James Gunn's The Suicide Squad. We take a look at the fun characters, the deaths, and try not to spoil too much of the movie. We also talk about some recent movie trailers that have come out. Does the DCEU finally have a hit? Come find out what we think.
On this episode we go back to our childhood and talk about our dream list of shows to watch after you got home from school. We have welcome distractions in the form of Naruto vs. My Hero Academia, the pitch meeting for Aunt Jemima, and Joey Wheeler from Yu-Gi-Oh. Gushers and Ecto Cooler for everyone!
Even though we are not going this year, we wanted to talk about the greatest sci-fi and fantasy convention in the southeast USA: Dragon Con. We talk about some of our best memories and reasons why we think Dragon Con is the best Con. But we do get distracted by time travel, "The Hutts of the South", and Maurice being the #1 Dad. To everyone who is going to Dragon Con this year: be safe, mask up, and have some Pie for us.
This week we talk about Korean equivalent to manga: manwha. We discuss how the genre has grown over the years, and we pick some of our favorite ones. But we also get distracted by Star Trek: TNG, the Cyclorama in Georgia, and One Piece. Let us know your favorite manwha on social media, or just yell really loud. We'll hear you.
