· This week, Google announced the Pixel 5A, available in the US and Japan only from $449. The Pixel 4A 5G and Pixel 5 will also be discontinued globally, leaving the soon to be announced Pixel 6 and 6 Pro as the only current Google handsets in many markets.

· Sony finally released the Xperia 1 IIIon 19 August having originally announced it in April. This is a quality phone but doesn’t come cheap, at £1200 in the UK and $1300 in the US. Here is a videoof an unboxing from a sighted user’s perspective.
