  • Sara Landry Expands "ETERNALISM" Tour With New U.S. Stops

After a breakthrough Coachella debut that transformed the festival's iconic Sahara stage into a techno sanctuary, one of dance music’s most in-demand names, Sara Landry, is expanding her "ETERNALISM" show stateside with two new stops.

The EDM.com Class of 2024 artist has announced she will bring the show to the Junkyard in Denver on August 1st and The Concourse Project in her hometown of Austin on August 8th.

Since her viral Boiler Room set at Teletech Festival back in 2023, now the third most-viewed of all-time with over 8.6 million views, Landry has redefined the hard techno scene through a dark, deliberate and unapologetically feminine lens. "ETERNALISM," which is said to "blur the lines between the underground and the avant-garde," invites fans to experience that sound through an intimate performance.

The announcement follows the European debut of "ETERNALISM" by virtue of a five-show tour as well as her earth-shaking Coachella performances. She's also set to bring the production to New York City’s Brooklyn Mirage later this month, kicking off the venue’s highly anticipated summer season after an ambitious renovation.

Presale access for the new dates begins May 1st, with sign-ups available now here.

  • Seven Lions to Perform in NYC's Iconic Central Park in 2025

Seven Lions has announced "Prelude: Gathering Twilight," a limited engagement of just two performances he's calling his only headline shows of 2025.

Beloved for his emotionally charged melodic bass music, the renowned producer will take over New York City's SummerStage in Central Park on September 19th, joined by supporting acts Apashe and MUZZ. The second performance will unfold at Arizona's Rawhide Event Center on October 18th, featuring Apashe, Space Wizard and HVDES.

The cryptic title of "Prelude: Gathering Twilight" suggests these concerts may herald a new creative phase for Seven Lions, whose soaring blend of trance, progressive house and dubstep has long evoked elements of the mystical. The twilight imagery evokes his signature aesthetic of luminous moments balanced against darker electronic elements.

He's yet to provide more details, but the "prelude" nomenclature could indicate forthcoming music or perhaps a more extensive tour in 2026. In the meantime, the pair of performances represents a rare opportunity to experience Seven Lions' immersive live production this year, with the Central Park setting offering a particularly dramatic backdrop for his cinematic sound against Manhattan's skyline.

A pre-sale is scheduled to begin Wednesday at 10am local time before the general on-sale on Friday at the same time.

  • Unearthed DJ Mix Provides Glimpse Into 21-Year-Old GRiZ's Formative Sound: Listen

A recently unearthed recording from GRiZ's early career has been shared online, offering fans a rare window into the electronic music superstar's formative influences when he was just 21 years old.

The mix, released back in August 2011, was uploaded and shared this week on Reddit. It emerged from an unexpected source: a former disc jockey from Salt Lake City who had preserved the session from a streaming radio platform called Basstream, where GRiZ, now 34, appeared as a guest artist.

For longtime fans, the set provides a nostalgic reminder of GRiZ's underground roots before his ascent to prominence as one of the EDM scene's most beloved artists. The saxophone-playing producer was already blending jazz, funk, hip-hop, soul and dubstep in ways that would shape the artist he is today.

The mix features a number of compositions that would later evolve into tracks on GRiZ's breakthrough sophomore album, Mad Liberation, which released a year later in 2012. He also weaves samples from a slew of music icons, like Bob Marley and Michael Bublé. You can listen here.

In other GRiZ news, he recently returned to music after an indefinite hiatus to reveal a new curated festival, Seven Stars, scheduled for October 10-12 in Virginia. GRiZ, who will perform three distinct sets at the event, described it as "a reflection of my life's work" and "a culmination of everything I've wanted to share."

He also released a comeback EP, GEMiNI, which you can listen to here.

  • The Sound of Second Chances: Michael Bibi Drops First New Music Since Cancer Battle

Michael Bibi has returned with "Sungazing (Electronic Mix)," his first release since his battle with a rare form of cancer.

The influential DJ and Solid Grooves founder revealed in December 2023 that he was cancer-free after fighting CNS lymphoma, which attacks the central nervous system and is categorized by malignant cells forming in the brain and spinal cord. Writing on social media, he called his new single a "miracle."

"A song I started before being diagnosed with a brain tumour," Bibi said, "eventually gave me the strength to carry on fighting with the vision of surviving, in order to be able to see it be released one day.. that is now becoming a reality. It's a miracle."

View the original article to see embedded media.

That narrative weight is impossible to separate from the sound of "Sungazing." For an artist who has long packed UK warehouses and Ibiza clubs with sweat-soaked house beats, the track feels deeply personal. With radiant guitar flourishes and soulful vocals from Alexa Sunshine Rose, it's the sound of someone who’s been through it and come out the other side a little softer but no less resilient.

While many producers manufacture depth through sampled platitudes, Bibi's life-altering experience infuses authentic gravity into his production. The track's dynamic progression reads as an audio document of his medical journey and subsequent return to massive stages at Coachella and his record-breaking "One Life" show in London, the largest electronic show in the city's history.

"I dreamed of that show while in the hospital," Bibi said. "Seeing it happen was one of the most beautiful moments of my life—now being able to give back with this music release is another milestone in my healing process."

  • Sammy Virji and Issey Cross Create Dancefloor Catharsis With New Single, "Nostalgia"

Sammy Virji is back with his newest single, "Nostalgia," featuring the effortlessly cool vocals of Issey Cross.

The London-born DJ continues to impress with each release, reinforcing his standing as one the dance music scene biggest breakouts. Virji's new single arrives fresh off a pair of massive performances at Coachella, where he performed on the festival's storied Sahara stage.

He kicks things off with a thick, driving bassline that immediately sets a moody and magnetic tone. All the while, Cross' smooth vocals deliver an addictive melody as the lyrics reflect on the ache of wanting to turn back time to a past love. The arrangement builds with emotional tension before bursting into a euphoric drop.

Akin to pure dancefloor catharsis, the drop unleashes a groovy house beat with shimmering synths that pulse in perfect rhythm and add a cinematic depth. Enhancing the track's nostalgic, bittersweet undertones, it’s the kind of production that makes your body move almost involuntarily.

You can stream "Nostalgia" now on all platforms, and catch Virji on tour this year.

  • Flume and JPEGMAFIA Reunite for Animated Music Video Ahead of New EP, "We Live In A Society"

Flume and JPEGMAFIA are gleefully unhinged in their latest collaboration, "Track 1," a seven-minute animated video featuring new music.

In a music industry where collaborations are often predictable publicity stunts, these longtime friends tossed convention into the shredder for "Track 1." As the first glimpse into their new four-track EP, We Live In A Society out May 2nd, it suggests something genuinely innovative in the works.

They first joined forces back in 2019 for "How to Build a Relationship," which appeared on Flume's scintillating mixtape Hi This Is Flume. The duo then reunited for "New Black History" from JPEGMAFIA's 2024 album I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU.

The experimental "Track 1," Flume's first release in over two years, arrives as a perfect blend of both artists' most distinctive traits. Flume's meticulous, texture-obsessed production pairs with JPEGMAFIA's raw, confrontational energy to deliver an experimental masterstroke at the intersection of hip-hop and electronic music.

The seven-minute animated video by James Blagden serves as both companion piece and origin story, capturing a hilarious studio session where the boundaries between collaboration and friendly antagonism blurred. Peggy's merciless roasting of Flume's production skills—including a playful threat to replace him with Fred again.. in the studio—unfolds against a hallucinatory backdrop of morphing cartoonized bodies and psychedelic color fields. Blagden at one point outfits the rapper with a phallic nose.

As far as the music goes, it's fresh and inventive, true to form for these boundary-pushing artists. Glitched-out beats create a framework for Peggy's abrasive vocal stylings before giving way to what can only be described as peak Flume at the 4:25 mark, when a honeyed bass drop wraps around the hypnotic vocal refrain, "How it's supposed to feel."

  • Flying Lotus Was Writing Music for Marvel's "Blade" Reboot Before Indefinite Delay

Influential electronic music producer and filmmaker Flying Lotus today revealed he had been tapped to write music for Marvel's long-awaited Blade reboot before the project was indefinitely delayed.

FlyLo took to social media to confirm he was signed on to score the film.

"I guess we are so far from it even being a possibility now but. Yeah I was signed on to write music for the new BLADE movie before it fell thru," he wrote on X. "Maybe it’ll come around again but I doubt it. Would have been fun tho."

I guess we are so far from it even being a possibility now but. Yeah I was signed on to write music for the new BLADE movie before it fell thru.

Maybe it’ll come around again but I doubt it. Would have been fun tho💔

    — FLYLO (@flyinglotus) April 24, 2025

The revelation adds another chapter to the troubled production history of the movie, which was announced with considerable fanfare at 2019's San Diego Comic-Con. Academy Award-winning Green Book actor Mahershala Ali was cast to fill the vampire hunter's leather coat previously worn by the iconic Wesley Snipes.

Since then, the project has hemorrhaged talent, reportedly cycling through a slew of screenwriters without successfully transitioning to production. The project also lost a pair of directors, Bassam Tariq and Yann Demange.

Snipes, who originated the role in the 1998 cult classic, made a brief return to the character in a cameo appearance in Deadpool & Wolverine earlier this year, offering fans a bittersweet reminder of the daywalker's cinematic legacy while the reboot remains trapped in development hell.

  • Seven Lions and Wooli Drop Radiant New Collaboration, "Sunshine"

Seven Lions and Wooli have reunited for "Sunshine," a radiant new collaboration out now via the former's Ophelia Records.

Featuring VARGEN, the track is the sixth entry in a collaborative discography that has delivered fan-favorite tracks like "Another Me" and "Island." But this one strikes a different chord.

Instead of detonating into bedlam, "Sunshine" blooms. The new single lands just as spring turns to festival season, and it’s hard not to imagine it echoing across sunset-drenched stages or blaring from car stereos on coastal highways.

The track opens with a warm piano riff and bright, hopeful lyrics that feel primed for breezy daytime listening. While longtime fans might brace in anticipation of a signature gut-punch drop, what they get instead is restraint—a shimmering, polished release of energy that eschews brute force in favor of subtle finesse.

For two producers long known for pushing genre boundaries, "Sunshine" is a reminder of the power in versatility. Following this blissed-out release, you can bet their next inevitable collaboration will come crashing in with the same distaste for convention.

You can listen to "Sunshine" below and find the new single on streaming platforms here.
