MPH is back with his latest single, "Alone," a stunning UK garage track featuring Carla Monroe—and it couldn't have arrived at a better time.
Just in time for sunnier days, the spring release features an uplifting groove built for warm weather and late-night drives. "Alone" also proves once again why MPH is at the forefront of the contemporary UK garage movement.
Opening with emotive piano chords and Monroe’s striking delivery ("Won’t cry, I’m better off alone"), the track builds with confident energy before culminating into a bouncy, high-energy drop. MPH blends fluttering synths, propulsive vocal chops and a palpitating bassline in a euphoric whirlwind that makes it impossible to sit still.

Because social media is full of people who want to seem heroic without the inconvenience of actually doing anything heroic, its newest trend has everyone using AI to generate action figures of themselves.
The trend is going viral as ChatGPT users flood our social feeds with AI-generated images of themselves as plastic collectible toys in blister packs, complete with accessories and suspiciously better posture. It's narcissism meets nostalgia, and it’s infectious.
The trend, which makes use of OpenAI's GPT-4o model, is proving especially popular in the EDM community, wherein DJs and their fans are creating action figures en masse.
1. Log into ChatGPT
Navigate to chatgpt.com on the web or download ChatGPT on the App Store or Google Play.
Log into your account or easily create a new one using just your email address. You will not be able to upload a photo of yourself unless you have an account.
2. Upload an image of yourself
Click the + icon and then the "Upload from computer" button to drop a photo of yourself into the chat. A headshot or selfie will suffice, but it's best to use a full-body image for the most accurate results.
It's important to note that the free version of ChatGPT allows users just three opportunities per 24 hours to try the image prompt feature. The AI can be erratic, so make sure you source the clearest and most authentic photos of yourself in case your first attempt generates a dissatisfactory result.
3. Enter your prompt
Copy and paste the below prompt into ChatGPT, and fill in the brackets with your own details so the action figure matches your personality. As is the case with any AI prompt, it's important to be as detailed as possible.
"Use this photo of me to create an action figure of myself in a blister pack, in the style of a premium collectible toy. The figure should be standing up and have a [FACIAL EXPRESSION]. The blister pack should have a header with the text [ACTION FIGURE NAME] in large letters and a subheading of [TAGLINE] below it. Include accessories in compartments to the side of the figure: [LIST OF ACCESSORIES]."
Once you've submitted your request, ChatGPT will take two to four minutes to generate the image. You can then ask the program to make changes, like the clothes, accessories or text on the packaging.
Few could have predicted that a man who never shows his face would steal the spotlight at the music industry's most photographed festival, but Gesaffelstein did just that as the only special guest of Lady Gaga's Coachella 2025 headline set.
The legendary producer, whose brutalist French electro has soundtracked countless fashion runways and underground clubs alike, is an ideal Gaga collaborator. As they previously showed in their track "Killah," the pairing represents the perfect marriage of pop theatricality and techno intellectualism.
Joining Gaga onstage Friday night, Gesaffelstein emerged from the shadows to perform the song live in his signature, sleek all-black suit and reflective chrome mask, creating a striking visual counterpoint to her maximalist aesthetic. Gaga at one point went haywire on the drums in one of the performance's most electric moments.
At the same time, Gaga released Gesaffelstein's brand-new remix of "Abracadabra," a song that appeared on her chart-topping album Mayhem. They performed that track live as well.
@edm@ladygaga and @GESAFFELSTEIN debuted an insane “Abracadabra” remix at Coachella last night—then dropped it across all platforms. Talk about ICONIC.
♬ original sound - EDM.comThere are collaborations that make sense on paper, and then there are those that ignite something primal. Gesaffelstein's remix of "Abracadabra" belongs in both categories.
Elegance meets menace in his stunning remix, where he strips the original's glam pop sheen in favor of a claustrophobic, brooding banger with synths that wail like banshees in some kind of operatic nightmare. It's chrome dipped in blood, a return to the influential producer's electro-noir roots.
You can listen to Gesaffelstein's remix of "Abracadabra" below.

Grief becomes groove in the hands Gryffin, who has released an official remix of Band of Horses' timeless track, "The Funeral."
The PULSE producer blurs the lines of indie-rock and electronic music in the new track, reshaping Band of Horse' elegiac anthem into a melodic dancefloor ballad that feels simultaneously rooted in memory and pulled forward by the pulse of the present.
Few songs have carved themselves as deeply into the cultural psyche as "The Funeral." With its ruminative lyrics and spacey strings, the track became an anthem for a generation adrift in its own introspection. Now, nearly two decades later, Gryffin has unearthed the song and reframed it through the lens of modern electronic music.
Gryffin’s aching remix leans into the emotional weight of "The Funeral," cocooning those ethereal guitar plucks in a house reinvention that beautifully channels the source material's vulnerability. He doesn’t seek to overwrite overwrite the track's DNA, but uses percussive finesse to reimagine it for today's dancefloors without stripping away its intimacy. It’s a reinvention that respects the source material’s vulnerability while offering it a pulse for a new generation of listeners.

Martin Garrix has built an empire on making crowds jump, but with his new single "Weightless," he's more interested in what happens during the suspension before you land.
The Dutch EDM superstar reunites with Arijit Singh for the cross-cultural collaboration, which follows last month's release of "Angels for Each Other." That track marked the first-ever English language showcase for Singh, the world's most followed artist on Spotify.
Out now via Garrix's own STMPD RCRDS imprint, "Weightless" occupies the space between dancefloor catharsis and bedroom introspection. It's music for those moments when you're neither fully grounded nor completely adrift, but suspended beautifully somewhere in between.
The most challenging gravity to escape isn't physical, but emotional—a truth "Weightless" explores with depth and nuance. The song's meditation on fear and reconnection feels particularly resonant in our era of digital disconnection. When Singh questions why his "chest feels gripped with fear" against Garrix's delicately building arrangement, the effect is like watching someone work through inner turmoil in real time.

Not every sanctuary is a quiet place. Sometimes it's a festival stage shaking under the weight of a brand new Hardwell anthem.
The Dutch EDM icon recently opened his Ultra Miami performance with the live debut of his new single "Sanctuary," a sweeping, emotionally charged anthem that ignited the festival's sprawling crowd into a synchronized wave of shared release.
More than a return to form, "Sanctuary" marks a reawakening for Hardwell, whose work in recent years has been defined by darker, techno-forward productions. Here, he shifts the spotlight to shimmering melodies, trance-influenced chord progressions and soaring builds that echo his past while carving out something unmistakably fresh.
"Over the past few months, I found myself diving more and more into melodic structures and playing around with different soundscapes," Hardwell said. "Out of all the projects I was working on, 'Sanctuary' was one I just couldn’t let go of. It’s not quite a full trance track, but it definitely pulls in elements from that genre, which I love."
That emotion rings clear in every bar, as stadium arpeggios and thumping kicks entwine to create a moment that embraces the spirit of festival grandeur. The track is out now via Hardwell's own record label, Revealed, which celebrated its 1,000th release last year.
