  • Rezz and CABLE Lean Into the Abyss With Searing Collaboration, "Glass Veins"

Rezz has once again brought anticipation for her upcoming album to a fever pitch with the release of its fourth single, "Glass Veins," a collaboration with New Orleans-based producer CABLE.

Slow-burning and deliberately sparse, "Glass Veins" coils into its own tension, threading distorted kicks and molten bass through an arrangement that feels like a gradual descent into chaos. With tight and methodical production, the brooding track blurs genres with elements that prompted Rezz to call it one of her favorites.

"The original demo was sent to me by CABLE," she recalled in a statement. "I was drawn to the lead echo sound that you hear now in the first drop. It’s one of my favorites, capturing an industrial slow techno vibe."

Built for gargantuan sound systems and nocturnal spaces alike, "Glass Veins" is indicative of a maturation in Rezz's songwriting, allowing her to show off new tricks while staying consistent with the unmistakable sound design that has made her a fan-favorite for years.

Rezz's upcoming album, As The Pendulum Swings, drops September 12th via her own label, HypnoVizion. You can listen to "Glass Veins" below and find the new single on streaming platforms here.

  • Getter's New Single Marks Long-Awaited Dubstep Revival: Listen to "Born 2 Stunt"

After a four-year gap in original music, Getter reminds us that subtlety is vastly overrated in "Born 2 Stunt," a dubstep banger featuring SXMPRA.

Getter's last electronic release, Some Creature, dropped back in May 2021, then the dial turned quiet as he focused on other projects. Today's return to the dubstep trenches should be celebrated far and wide, effectively marking the return to streaming platforms of one of the scene's most gifted producers.

With bass that could chew through asphalt, "Born 2 Stunt" spits teeth and gravel, but there's a grin behind the bloodied lip. Getter delivers a scorched-earth statement as SXMPRA's seething vocals slice through his production like broken glass, carrying traces of nu-metal angst.

The New Zealand-based rapper's verses spit venom, each syllable a spark off a grinding wheel, fusing punk's edge with hip-hop's rawness. The interplay between his vocal ferocity and Getter's guttural drops creates a relentless momentum that we can only hope mirrors the producer's plans as he navigates his long-awaited comeback.

  • The "Inside Our Hearts" Saga Ends as Martin Garrix and Alesso Finally Release Long-Awaited Anthem: Listen

Sometimes the universe conspires to make EDM fans wait. After dangling "Inside Our Hearts" before festival crowds since 2023, Martin Garrix and Alesso have finally granted mercy to their collective fanbase and released the track, their first-ever collaboration.

Waiting two years seems ridiculous, but it's refreshing. In our age of infinite scroll and instant gratification, where Spotify's weekly algorithmic dump feels less like discovery and more like homework, the simple act of waiting for new music from your favorite artist has become a radical form of delayed gratification.

When long-awaited tracks like this finally drop, they validate every moment you spent following along and allow for an experience that streaming culture's endless buffet can never quite replicate. That rings especially true in the case of Garrix and Alesso, two titans of the mainstage craft, who draped "Inside Our Hearts" in the progressive house euphoria that helped catapult them to early success.

Cascading synths wash over a propulsive, uplifting drop as Shaun Farrugia's tortured vocals carry the weight of someone who's genuinely wrestled with despair. A longtime collaborator of Garrix, Farrugia navigates mental health struggles with genuine sincerity here, oscillating between desperate vulnerability and stadium-ready grandeur. His passionate proclamations about "darkest days" and "powerless" moments tap into that time-tested EDM tradition of transforming personal anguish into communal catharsis.

"We wanted to make a song that felt timeless," Alesso said. "'Inside Our Hearts' features lyrics that are so meaningful to both of us. We set out to write a song that captures the feeling of the best era of dance music."

After closing his spectacular Tomorrowland 2025 headline performance with "Inside Our Hearts," Garrix is set to include the track on a new EP, ORIGO, which he's planning to drop in September. The Dutch EDM superstar says ORIGO is "the final missing piece" after releasing Sentio and IDEM, characterizing the upcoming project as the last release of a trilogy.

"All three are heavy club-driven projects built around the most requested IDs from my sets over the years," Garrix explained in a statement. "ORIGO marks the end (for now) of the club-focused releases and gives a tribute to the roots I started with 'Animals.' A loop ends and a new era begins."

  • Sebastian Ingrosso Finds God in Celine Dion's Back Catalog: Listen to House Anthem "A New Day"

The unlikely pairing of Sebastian Ingrosso and Celine Dion has led to "A New Day," a track that reimagines her 2002 ballad "A New Day Has Come" and elevates it into festival territory.

Ingrosso's production prowess emerges gradually, layering ethereal synth textures beneath Dion's celestial phrases about divine intervention and luminous encounters. The lyrics of the "Queen of Power Ballads" become both anchor and sail, grounding the composition while propelling it toward euphoric heights.

What strikes hardest about "A New Day" is how Ingrosso respects those spiritual undertones. Swedish House Mafia's most operatic mind-melter loops Dion's ageless voice like a prayer spiraling into the troposphere, daring it to come back changed as the drop arrives with his signature cascading progressive house flair.

The track arrives after Swedish House Mafia's announcement of a momentous show at Arthur Ashe Stadium on September 11th, 2025. The performance, which will mark the trio's largest concert in New York City yet, comes as part of what they're calling their "3.0 era," a phase launched in tandem with the release of their recent single "Wait So Long."

As the Adriatic sun prepares to blaze over Pag once more, Sonus Festival is tuning up for a triumphant return in 2025.

Europe’s club culture meets Croatian coastal charm at Sonus, which the festival's organizers say has the full blessing of the Croatian National Tourist Board. The weeklong celebration of electronic music will again transform the island's shimmering coastline into a techno and house music haven, drawing ravers and romantics from across the globe.

Scheduled for five days from August 17–21, this year’s lineup reads like a who’s who of the underground: Adam Beyer, Ricardo Villalobos, Deborah De Luca, Richie Hawtin and Miss Monique alongside hybrid sets like Joseph Capriati b2b Seth Troxler. Reinier Zonneveld brings his ferocious live show, while the presence of ARTBAT and DJ HEARTSTRING suggests a festival bent on both futurism and euphoria.

The music pulses through a group of storied beach clubs: Aquarius, Papaya, Kalypso and Noa Beach Club, where the music will stretch deep into sunrises. Noa, perched like a spacecraft on stilts above the sea, will unveil a one-off beach stage for 2025.

  • Spotify Publishes AI-Generated Songs on Profiles of Dead Artists: Report

Spotify is facing fresh scrutiny after AI-generated tracks were uploaded to the official profiles of several deceased musicians with no warning or permission granted to those managing their legacies, according to an investigation by 404 Media.

The outlet identified multiple examples of profiles hosting fraudulent posthumous songs created using generative AI platforms. Among the most notable cases is Blaze Foley, a Texas folk singer who died in 1989 and whose catalog is managed by the independent label Lost Art Records. A song titled "Together," uploaded under the alias Syntax Error, appeared on Foley’s verified page, complete with artificial vocals and a synthetic cover image.

Those close to Foley said the track bears no resemblance to his work. His catalog manager, Craig McDonald, told 404 that neither the style nor quality matched what fans would recognize.

"I can clearly tell you that this song is not Blaze, not anywhere near Blaze’s style, at all," he said. "It's kind of an AI schlock bot, if you will. It has nothing to do with the Blaze you know, that whole posting has the authenticity of an algorithm."

The issue doesn't appear isolated. A separate track by Syntax Error also appeared on the page of Guy Clark, another deceased songwriter. In both cases, the artists' representatives were not contacted ahead of time, raising concerns about how easily AI material can be inserted into digital storefronts.

Spotify removed the tracks once the issue was flagged, but hasn't yet clarified what measures it plans to take to prevent similar instances moving forward.

  • Tomorrowland to Keep New 2025 Mainstage Unchanged for Second Weekend

Tomorrowland's Mainstage, which tragically burned down last week, will stay in its makeshift form for the festival's second weekend of 2025, organizers confirmed this week.

The news follows a hectic lead-up to the iconic EDM festival in Belgium. After a massive fire destroyed its original "Orbyz" structure just two days before opening, Tomorrowland's producers pivoted fast, airlifting elements of Metallica's touring rig from Austria to develop a new stage in just 36 hours before opening as planned on July 18th.

    The 2025 Tomorrowland Mainstage.

    Tomorrowland

Speaking to VRT News, Tomorrowland spokesperson Debby Wilmsen said the replacement stage will return and "look the same," save for a number of minimal updates. "Depending on the DJ, we might add some visuals and props," she explained.

Wilmsen also reflected on the impact of the stripped-back format, which lacked many of the usual pyrotechnics and staging effects. "Normally, there's a lot of spectacle with fireworks, fountains, lighting and so on," she explained. "This time, the DJ was the star. Will we incorporate that into our design for next year? I'll leave that up to the creative director and his team."

Even without the usual production scale, the Mainstage still delivered, with Martin Garrix delivering an emotional set to close out day one and Charlotte de Witte making Tomorrowland history by opening and closing on the same day, among other highlights.

  • "Gurning Rave Guy" Reemerges at Tomorrowland, Recreates Viral Meme

Shaun Jackson, better known online as the "Gurning Rave Guy," has returned to the spotlight after surfacing at Tomorrowland 2025.

Over a decade since his wild-eyed, jaw-clenching moves took the internet by storm, Jackson was seen once again throwing down with full enthusiasm, this time in a sea of festivalgoers during Charlotte de Witte's set at the iconic EDM festival in Belgium. His original rise to viral game came in 2014 after promotional footage from a night at the Rumes nightclub in Preston caught him in full form, shirtless and shameless.

A plasterer by trade and former amateur boxer, Jackson hails from Chorley in the north of England. He wasn't chasing attention when that now-famous club clip surfaced, but once the internet took hold, he didn't shy away from it either.

With his bug-eyed stare and flailing limbs, he became something of a folk hero in certain corners of rave culture. His cult following grew so much that a limited-edition action figure of Jackson was released in 2022 as part of a collaboration between two UK-based creators.

Now in his 40s, Jackson has balanced his party presence with everyday life, posting TikToks that jump between dancing clips, construction work and podcast clips. Check out a clip of him raving at Tomorrowland 2025 below.
