Listeners were thrilled by the return of OG host Jesse on the last episode. Well get ready to cry like a sad pathetic clown because Jesse has abandoned the podcast on yet another episode. Luckily friend of the show Kelly is back to pick up the slack and talk the two Pacific Rim movies.

It's the second episode of KaiJUNE and we're met with a familiar voice we all know and love but haven't heard enough of in awhile, JOSH! Also Jesse returns, to help talk about the 2006 Kaiju inspired movie The Host!

Before the two hosts can talk the Host there are three trailers that have caught their attention. Firs ton deck is the trailer for the Cocaine Bear inspired flick, Crack Coon! Will it surpass the decent bar that Cocaine Bear laid out for drugged up animal movies?

Last year we had promised an episode on King Kong Escapes and Skull Island, well this year we're going to make things right. Partially right at least. King Kong Escapes and Skull Island were gonna be done as bonus episodes for KaiJUNE but things have gotten a little hectic out here so we edited the first bonus episode in with a different movie Ghidorah, the Three Headed Monster, because we can't stop this podcast until we've covered every single Godzilla movie in it's extensive catalogue.

First movie we cover is King Kong Escapes. If you're excited about a sequel to King Kong vs Godzilla by the same director... well you got one of those wishes, as we cover this movie that is completely separate from the canon of the previous movie.

It's been two and half years since the Bloody Good Film Podcast has started and we haven't covered a single Rutger Hauer film. You guys have written us insistently about it, even to the point of threatening our families, but us here at the Bloody Good Film Podcast have stood firm on our "NO RUTGER HAUER" policy. Well that was before Jesse was kidnapped and the only way he would be released mostly free from harm was to cover a Rutger Hauer film. The kidnappers thought we'd give in and cover the Hitcher, Blade Runner, or Hobo with a Shotgun, but we went with something even they hadn't seen before, SPLIT SECOND! A Dick Durkin film featuring the late great Rutger Hauer. 

... Jesse was returned after the recording with almost two whole legs, so it was a mostly satisfactory choice.

We're continuing with the live action adaptations this month with Rurouni Kenshin  The Beginning and The Final. These are two movies that Jesse claims to be a big fan of despite not being able to figure out which order these movies come in in this five movie franchise.

First we talk the Beginning which is actually the last film in the franchise. If you're a fan of the manga this is based on you need to throw away everything you've ever known about these characters. If you like how light hearted and goofy Kenshin is... you might be in for a little surprise.

After much discussion we've decided to demote Jesse to editor. We just feel that his voice gets in the way of Josh's vision for the show and ultimately that is what really matters...
