The Bloody Good Film Podcast is casting it's net into a part of the world it has not explored yet, in this episode when we talk the Bollywood sensation, RRR. 

Before we do that we finally talk about Jesse's experience doing the Paqui One Chip Challange he was forced to do after losing our annual Thankful For Action November Bet. Despite losing the bet nearly 3 decades ago Jesse allegedly held up his end of the bargain. The so called proof is on our Instagram page.

After that Josh talks his experience with a horror themed circus the Cirque Paranormal. Which ended up being hair raising... just not for the reasons you  might expect.

Then it's onto more typical podcast fair as we give our takes on the Renfield and Inside (not the French film) trailers.

For the very first time in the two plus year history of the Bloody Good Film Podcast we are covering one of the Universal Monsters. We had many to choose from but only one that would let us take advantage of the fact that Brendan Fraser is having an epic resurgence in his career. So this week we are talking the original 1932 The Mummy starring Boris Karloff vs the 1999 The Mummy Starring Brendan Fraser.

In this episode we compare and contrast the two films and try to figure out if either or both of them hold up. But we weren't brave enough to do this alone. We are joined by Laura Magee after a long extended absence. 

In the end we will have determine once in for all if The Mummy from 1932 and the Mummy from 1999 are Bloody Good Films.

We just finished recording our two year anniversary for the Bloody Good Film Podcast when Jesse makes a joke about getting replaced by Josh's good friend Kelly Baird for the show. Well that got Josh thinking and now Jesse is officially gone from the show, and we don't miss him one bit. Join us as we get to know Kelly over talk about old school horror and action films from his impressive collection.

From there we just had to talk about the new Evil Dead Rise trailer. No other podcast on the planet will cover it as well as it is covered here. Especially not any other podcast that gets a little Buzzed while they kill time talking about it.

Then it's onto the main event, Parole Violators. A movie that shows that you may not need to be a good actor to make movies. All you need is a camera and ability to kinda look like you've been kicked in the face a few hundred times. We see the lower end of the glamorous movie business Sean Donahue try his best!

It's been two bloody years of the Bloody Good Podcast, so we're pulling out a gimmick from year one. Only instead of talking over our favorite ACTION films we're digging into our 2 favorite horror films!

But before we can dig into that, it's also the start of the new year, which means that we need to go into our rankings for the best movies of 2022. At least 5 movies each need to be referenced, with a couple honorable mentions thrown in there. Let us know if there were any on your list that you think we overlooked!

Then it's onto the main contender, Evil Dead 2. No self-respecting horror movie podcast can exist without making mention of the Evil Dead franchise, but this time you're getting your opinions on it from JOSH...and jesse.

After that we hit rock bottom as we dig into Jesse's choice for a favorite horror film, The Descent. I know, just when you thought we couldn't sink any lower.

We're onto the 3rd week of Dismember and we're steering clear of the typical killer Santa flicks and falling into the over abundant Advent Calander subgenre (trust me. It's a thing)

But before we talk the Christmas movie of the episode need to cover some trailers. First on trailer we talk is the brand-new Gerard Butler flick, Plane; a movie that doesn't seem to have a whole lot of plane in it.

We had all of our episodes scheduled for this month and still felt the need to do a little bit more.  For this we found a copy of the Star Wars Holiday Special on Youtube and found to our horror that there was nothing Special about this special.

If you have always loved Blazing Saddles but wanted to hate Harvey Korman, this movie will do it for you. So watch at your own risk... Actually I don't want to talk anyone out of watching this special. This is the special that will put into perspective all of the people who claim the newest hit movie is the worst movie they've ever seen. Just wait until you sit through this.

Christmas can be hit or miss but one thing that makes the winter season great is egg nogg. Killer Santa movies are pretty close second to that though and until they make an action or horror movie that celebrates the greatness of the nogg we're going to have to settle. This week we're settling with one of the most notorious killer santa movies ever, Silent Night Deadly Night, and its loose remake Silent Night.

Listen up as we dig into these two very different takes on the cold-blooded Killer Santa slasher subgenre. The first one segment we dig into the original that has all multiple killer Santa's spread out throughout the film. If that's not enough to catch your attention it also has some naughty nuns (both the fun and not so fun kind)

After that we dig into the remake which is only kind of a remake. But the important thing is it does have one killer Santa and then several other Santa's dressed up in RED herrings.

Last year we talked about the greatest Christmas movie of all time, Lethal Weapon. This year we're returning to Shane Black Christmas goodness with The Long Kiss Goodnight. But before we do that there are a few non Christmas trailers that needed some discusion.

First on deck is the brand new trailer for Indiana Joes V: The Dial of Destiny. Does this movie look like it can recapture the magic of the original trilogy or will it feel as alien and disjointed as the Crystal Skull. The Bloody Good Film Podcast is ready to let you know what to think.
