The impossible has happened.  We have reached the 100th episode of the Bloody Good Film Podcast! If that isn't crazy enough it happens to coincide with our annual One Chip Challenge bet for Thankful For Action November, the MOST explosive fiery hot month of the year! This year has your two hosts placing bets on what film, you the listeners think is the best John Woo film of all time: Face/Off or Hard Boiled.

Both of these films are considered classics of the action genre and John Woo is one of the most influential action directors there is so the choice could go either way. It's a choice between Nicolas Cage and Chow Yun-Fat for which over the top lead is the best.

This week on the Bloody Good Film Podcast we had to pivot from our regularly scheduled episode. It's the third week of Thankful For Action November and we're getting one step closer to the edge or we're about to break FACES with The Raid: Redemption and The Raid 2. These movies made Iko Uwais a household name (in my house at least) and are often considered to be some of the best action films of the last 20 years... Or are they?

We're digging in hard with the two Raid movies with possibly our longest episode yet. For sure it's the longest episode without Josh trying to pretend that he knows a thing about philophy.

It's taken a year and we're finally getting back to the Accident Man franchise starring the one of the best modern day action stars, Scott Adkins.

Before we get into the movie Josh drops a little Accident Man book report after reading the Complete Accident Man collection. Were those 200 plus pages worth it? Mayyyyyybe. You'll have to listen.

There're also a few trailers that have caught our attention. We have the return of Shelley Duvall to film with the Forrest Hills. This is her first film in 20 years, and you have to drinking podcasters to comment on it. Lucky you. Also we just could not hold back from giving our two cents on the upcoming Violent Night film. 

After that it's time to dig into the sequel to Accident Man that we have been hyped for since long before the first trailer came out. Last year we loved the first one... but on this episode we're gonna ask ourselves... is Accident Man... A BLOODY GOOD FILM!?

It's the first week of Thankful For Action November and there is no better way to kick it off than with the most 80's action film of all time, Road House. This is the movie that'll make you feel like you can take on a whole corrupt town with the power of shirtless martial arts and an awesome mullet. But we're not leaving well enough alone in this episode we're also brining in the less well known straight to dvd sequel Road House 2. If you thought that nothing could top the awesome action of the 80s classic that is road house... you may be right. Luckily, we've brought back Kenneth Leonard, our Patrick Swayze expert to help shoulder the load of this possibly subpar sequel.

Also since this is November we'll be having another explosive bet for the last episode of the month. Once again we've procured the Paqui One Chip Challenge and the loser of this bet will be subjected to the heat. Hopefully this year, you all vote a little better. We're getting deep into Horrortober on the Bloody Good Film Podcast. Once again it's the month where we only talk about horror movies that take place around Halloween. What's the most important thing about Halloween? Getting a good scare and to some people there is nothing scarier than a clown.

Honestly most clowns aren't very scary. There's more of that awkwardness of talking to somebody that took all that time and effort to look horrible and weird... but are they scary? Most of the time no... but if you're watching Art the Clown in Terrifier you may be witnessing the exception.

We've talked about the new Munsters movie too much to not to do a bonus episode on it. Even when we guested on the Buzzed Kill Podcast we ended up debating the merits of the new Munster movie. The trailers had left us divided... Had Rob Zombie intentionally made one of the worst trailers a big name director has ever made as some kind of a gag?

It could be that Rob Zombie trusted his vision so much that even if the trailer was a little bit odd, he knew that the actual movie would prevail, purely by word of mouth. I mean word of mouth has always skewed positive with Rob Zombie when he had attached himself to other properties. Just look at how notoriously popular his Halloween movies were with horror fans...oh.

We're into the 2nd episode of Horrortober, the month where we are only covering horror movies that takes place around the time of Halloween. Well Rocktober Bloody does reference the fact that the upcoming concert takes place on Halloween at least, once so that fits the bill. But this is a heavy metal horror film and Josh and Jesse don't play an instruments, so they needed to call in some help of heavy metal super star JC De Alba of the bands, Macrocosm, Agonxia, Decieve, and a few others that shred harder than cheese.

Before we get into the nity gritty of this movie we have to gauge where JC falls as a horror fan and get some updates on his various upcoming projects including a brand new band he's in called Epicaricacy (say that 3 times fast... or even once slowly)

Then after we talk Rocktober Blood you'll be treated to a brand new song by JC's badass band Macrocosm (you'll hear it here first folks!).
