It's our final episode of Wrestlemonthia and Jesse just wasn't tough enough to hang. We all know that wrestling is real. Scientist did studies in the 90s and unequivocally concluded that wrestling was real. They said 100%, that it was real. Scientists won't even claim to know that reality is real for sure, but wrestling has met that bar and then some. Some have theorized that it is 101% real (something that up until a few years ago was thought to be an impossibility). Well, this reality is what the Condemned movies have decided to exploit. You get the realist of real action stars (professional wrestlers) and put them in a movie about a real-life televised fight to the death. It's the same line of thought that worked for Cannibal Holocaust when they used real animal deaths to make you question the human deaths (only this is a lot more humane).

In the first Condemned movie we're treated to Stone Cold (known by most wrestling fans as the giant that always needed a sweater) Steve Austin on an Island Vacation. It's basically temptation island with exotic people from all over the world, only instead of getting down and dirty in a fun way they get down in dirty in a deadly way. Last one alive doesn't get blown up. (I know the prize kinda blows...but it doesn't)

In the Condemned 2 they drop Randy Orton in a desert with his father Eric Roberts and have them face off against an elite group of Orton's drinking buddies. Is the execution on this one kinda dry, or is it just the location?

Most important of all we ask, are the Condemned and the Condemned 2... BLOODY GOOD FILMS.

We are in the 2nd week of Wrestlemonthia  on the Bloody Good Film Podcast! This week we're gonna require a little reading from a listener watching the movies along with us because we're taking a trip down south to watch a movie about Luchador Wrestlers in James Bond situations. Winnie the Pooh has fallen into the public domain and like most former Disney stars he wants to prove to the world that he's an adult. After that we have the trailer for the sequel to a Thankful For Action November Favorite, Accident Man. Do you think it can live up the original or are they just clowning around?

It's the most important time of the year. It's September and everyone knows what that means right? It's Wrestlemonthia on the Bloody Good Film Podcast! If your calendar doesn't reflect that, it means you've been buying your calendars from confused cavemen that aren't knowledgeable of the biggest events going on in the world. Honestly, if you don't know of Wrestlemonthia you're probably some uninformed weirdo. Best to fake it and pretend you knew about it already with your friends. There have been a lot of Final Girls in slashers. You have your Laurie Strodes', your Alice Hardys', your Nancy Thompsons', that one that's in all the Scream films, but you've never seen anything like Erin from the film You're Next. You see, Erin's not like all the other final girls.  No no no no no. She could be the most capable Final Girl a slasher movie has ever had. We are now on the fourth film of Badass Women Month, and on this episode, we've set our sights on Uma Thurman's feet...er I mean on Uma Thurman. 

Before we do that, we have to dig a little into Tarantino's filmography some because we may never have a better excuse to do so. Unfortunately, violence doesn't always equal action or horror (see our two Boondock Saints episodes for examples of just that). It is episode 85 and despite this being an entry into a franchise that has been mostly about male machismo, we are talking about the 5th entry into the Predator Franchise (as long as you ignore the Alien Vs Predator flicks) Prey for our third moive of Badass Women Mont. This movie stars Amber Midthunder as our lead character. She's taking on an out of this world alien with 1719 technology (literally not a phone charger in site).

Before we do that though we're taking a look at a couple of upcoming films. First on deck is the movie Pearl. We were pretty excited about the movie X but does it's prequel capture our attention... and in a good way.

Then Josh forces everyone to watch the new Black Adam trailer so he can info dumb a bunch of comicbook info on everyone. You may want to skip ahead and just get to the main feature at this point.

From then on, it's smooth sailing as we talk everything about the new movie Prey. We are a spoiler podcast so if you want to avoid spoilers on this fairly new movie you're gonna want to watch it before you listen.

It's the 2nd episode of Badass Women Month and this time we're celebrating the accomplished martial artist, Cynthia Rothrock. Rothrock was the queen of direct to video (videos were these clunky things that had reels inside that played moving pictures on your television) action flicks. Never quite reaching the mainstream but a star in her own right. Like podcast favorite Don "The Dragon" Wilson she was already established in her craft before she made the switch to films.

Now if you think an episode on two Cynthia Rothrock films is more than enough to grab your attention, then the addition of the great Bolo Yeung (Enter the Dragon and Blood Sport) is not only going to grab your attention but twist your attentions neck until it snaps (seek medical attention for your attention at the earliest convivence. That's right both movies feature Bolo as the villain, (I guess that might be spoilers if you never saw the cover or have seen Bolo in action) and we're even treated to some Rothrock vs Yeung action... but will that be enough to justify entering Tiger Claws 1 and Tiger Claws 2 into Badass Women Month? You'll have to listen to find out.
